Rain was pouring down heavily, causing the atmosphere to be slight moody. Rain droplets had formed on the windows and hot coffee tasted better in the cold weather.
It was fine in the morning with the bright sun up in the sky, heat just right and the road not filled with muddy puddles.
But now, the sky was dark and you were getting annoyed by the inability to produce even a slight bit of idea for your art project. Your brain never worked properly outside your house. Your plan was to go to the cafe and purchase a cup of coffee to go. However, the sky decided to just burst into tears and you were stuck in this place.
You let out a groan and your cup was already empty. You didn't want to get another drink or work on your assignment. You just wanted to go home but that would mean rushing down the street and getting drenched from head to toe.
With the midterm exams coming, you didn't want to increase the possibility of getting sick.
You decided to wait for a while, hoping that rain would stop soon.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
It had only been five minutes but you were already standing outside the cafe. The rain didn't seem to plan to stop anytime soon - it actually got worse.
You didn't know what to protect; your head or your bag filled with books and papers. Both had great importance to you but you just screwed everything and hugged your bag.
You were about to run out of the shelter when someone held an umbrella above your head. You were halted halfway to another step and you turned to your right to see who it was.
"Fancy meeting you here, artist."
Park Jimin, you noted, the cute contemporary dance major from the same art university of yours. You didn't really mingle with people outside your major but Jimin was way too popular to not be known.
"Do you know me?" You asked, curiously.
It wouldn't be surprising for one to know Jimin but it would be the opposite if one knew you. You weren't one who stood out or continuously seeking for attention. You preferred being by yourself or with the small group of your friends the most. With a messed up sleeping schedule, it was difficult to keep up with social life.
"Who wouldn't know such a beautiful and talented artist?"
You felt a little tickle in your heart and you mumbled softly, "I am not."
"Humble, aren't you?"
You cleared your throat, "I'm just stating a fact."
"So am I," he grinned as if he was planning to debate with you on who was right but you weren't in the mood so you just drop the topic there and then.
