My dear teenage girls,
I was a teenager just like you years ago and I thought having a boyfriend was the best feeling ever. It isn't. The best feeling is loving yourself and knowing your worth.
You deserve more than chasing someone who doesn't value you. You deserve more than being played. You deserve more than crying yourself to sleep at night. You deserve more than asking yourself what went wrong.
My dear, you are God's princess and no princess deserves to feel that way. Wait for the man who would treat you right. Wait for the man who's brave enough to fight for you. Wait for the man who prayed for you.
And while waiting for that man to come, strive to become the best version of yourself. Be strong, be independent, be brave. Be successful. Go outside of your comfort zone and take risks. Appreciate the love of the people around you, give love to the people around you. Be thankful and know that you are blessed.
And maybe then you'll realize that self-love is the best form of love. The kind of love that will change how you see things. The kind of love that we need in order to love others.
