I got up for an early morning run around the property of my house. I woke up early with nothing much to do so I decided it would be a good idea.
My parents arrived back from their work trip. Mateo and Mathew were still going to be spending the rest of winter break here in chino hills. Then they'll go back when it's over, which is until next week.
I was pretty excited that I got another week with my siblings. I really never get to see them. I FaceTime then once in a while but it isn't the same as in person.
"Mija, come here please" my mom said as I walked past the kitchen, sweaty.

"Can clean the pool with Teo or Mat?. I've asked both of them to do it before dad and I left , poro ninguno lo eso" she said.

He got a shirt from who knows where, and walked downstairs with me sliding his slides on.
I opened the back door walking out heading to the side of the house grabbing the 'pool materials'.
I handed one to Mateo, waiting for him to finished scooping out the the nerf gun that was at the very bottom of the pool.
An hour went by and we were nearly finished with it. Until Mateo started being a little child and complaining about the heat.
"Mateo, hurry up so we can just finish already!" I said Irritated.
"Shut.the.fuck.up" he said pausing between each word.
I walked towards the chair we're the Nerf gun was placed and shot him with water. Getting him soaked.
"Joana!!" he almost said shouting.
"Then stopping being a little bitch and help" I said.
He mimicked me, mubbleing.
"Amaa!!!" I shouted.
"Ay Dios mío, con ustedes nunca se puede!" Mom said walking out the door clearly mad.
"Both of you, you be turning almost 30"she said stating her word to Mateo. Exaggerating.

I looked at Mateo rolling my eyes at him. By the look on his face he clearly seem annoyed as well.

Mom gasped, looking at him clearly surprised by his actions.
I rosed up from the water catching my breath, that I had clearly lost due to getting caught off guarded by getting shoved into the pool.
And well you know, Latino parents and their 'weapon'.

In this case my mom was wearing rainbow sandals, which if she aimed it to Mateo correctly it would hurt like a bitch considering, the material is pretty hard.
She then proceeded to take of her Sandle, throwing it across the pool aiming it towards Mateo, sadly missing.
Mateo began to laugh hysterically.
"Bring me back the sandle when you both finish"she said helping me get out of the pool, before leaving back inside.
I then began to laugh as well.
"We're so childish" I said catching my breath, still laughing.
Mateo walked over, laughing.
" I know"
We then proceeded to finish our chore and went back inside after we finished.

Disclaimer I'm not exactly sure how to translate " Mande" into English. I've looked it up in google translate but they give me the definition of " send" which isn't what I'm tryingto say. But more of like "yes" type of thing. So I apologize for the definition. Notice I might be updating tomorrow twice since I missed yesterday or perhaps I might be making a longer chapter to make up for it.
