Chapter 8
You're all I need

Aria sighed heavily. It was already getting late when she rushed outside to go to Dane's apartment when she wasn't answering her calls. The rain poured down endlessly. She was starting to get worried. Aria knew that something was up since it was the first time that Dane ignored her calls.

Her shoulders dropped when she saw her friend drenched in the rain. Aria felt nothing but pity. Dane is suffering long enough. She held her umbrella tight and walked slowly towards her friend.

"A-aria, It hur—" Aria didn't let her finish her sentence and wrapped her arms around Dane. She closed her eyes as she started to drift away.

"Jaemin's destroying some of his stuff again." Chenle said. Renjun knew that the talk didn't go well. He felt sorry for his friend. They flinched with the sound of objects breaking. The members sighed and headed inside of their rooms. It was no use to try and stop Jaemin at this point. A part of them knew that he has to let his anger and frustrations out.

A few days passed and nothing changed. Jaemin was still off and lost in his own world. He was aloof and distant. Even the older members noticed how different he was.

"He's practicing really hard in there again, Taeyong. We're starting to get worried." Jaehyun said with a worried tone. The older members were taking a glimpse of nana inside the studio.

The memory of Dane turning her back on him kept playing inside of Jaemin's head like a broken record each day. Her image kept flashing inside. Her laugh, her smile, and even the thought of her scent haunted him at night. It was painful, like something inside of him died.

"Taeyong you've got to stop him." The leader sighed as he stretched his arms and walked towards the poor boy.

Jaemin didn't even notice him coming towards his direction. Taeyong grabbed the phone connected to the speaker and swiftly pressed it to stop. Nana glanced, still panting with a weary expression. He wiped his sweat and looked at the red headed leader.

"Your by ody is already tired, Jaemin. You've got to stop this or you'll end up being hospitalized again." He tried to sound calm as possible.

He smiled softly. But this time, it wasn't as bright as the usual. It was a smile that showed nothing but emptiness. It's like being alive outside but dead on the inside. Nothing but sorrow.

"She turned her back on me again." He tried not to cry as he avoided making eye contact. He was frustrated. Nana hoped for the pieces to go back together. But it won't.

Instead of scolding Jaemin more, Taeyong patted his shoulder. "Not everyone's capable of staying in our lives, Jaemin." The leader smiled painfully.

"She made it sound like I was too far away for her to reach. But from what I'm seeing, it's her that's far away. She keeps on running away from me hyung."

"There are two reasons why people run away, Jaemin." The leader sighed.

"It's either because they are afraid or simply because they don't want to stay anymore."

The thought of something keeping dane from staying bothered him. It did ring a bell though.

"Dane may be cold and distant but we both know how much she loves you." The worried Renjun entered the room.

"The dane I know won't run away from you just because she's tired. She loves you so much nana. She loves you to the point that she's willing to give up her happiness for your own betterment."

Jaemin felt so stupid for even assuming that dane didn't love him anymore. If fear is the reason why she's holding back then Jaemin's willing to do anything for her to feel safe and assured.

"Instead of sulking and moping all day, why don't you just go after her?" The leader stood with both arms crossed.

Taeyong was right. Nothing was going to happen if he keeps on moping around. He needs dane in his life. She completes him. Jaemin grabbed his jacket and shifted towards the door and went out of the building.

"No more running away, Dane. All I need is you in my life right now." He whispered as he entered the taxi.
