Chapter 4

    A couple of hours go by fast. I'm sitting in the crystal vine made bed playing with a flower. Kilan is pasted out on the couch. I walk over to him and lift his arm and crawl under it and place it back over me. I ask, "Kilan, how long has it been since you had a lay moment to keep someone safe?" He holds me tighter still eyes closed and says. "Since always. I've always kept you safe and only you. Why do you ask?" I turn to his face on my side and touch his face softly with my fingers. "Well, I don't know. It just came to mind." He moves his head closer and kisses me plain on the forehead. "I wouldn't ever want to protect anyone else but you in my life. Your the only one I really open my heart to." He says with a smile. I just stay quiet and think over the answer he gave me.
Then out of nowhere a cracking sound hurts my ears. Then the tree trunk we came through opened. Soldiers pile in. And of coarse Quaren was there. I'm guessing he's the one to open the trunk. Soldiers run over and grab my wrists and grab Kilan by his arms. He fights and kicks and yells over and over. "LET ARIS GO, DON'T HURT HER. DON'T EVEN TOUCH HER." I just start to tear up at the sight. They start to pull me closer to Quaren. He grabs me around the waist and pulls me to his side. He barks out an order to the soldiers holding Kilan, "Take him away. Put him in chains. I don't ever want to see his face around my princess agien." I try to pull away from his grip, but fail. Then I bite him and run to the soldiers and push them away. I yell to Kilan who is free. "RUN, RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS YOU CAN!!!" He starts to run and then he disappears into the woods. Quaren comes up and grabs me. He yells to the soldiers. "FIND HIM AND PUT HIM WHERE HE BELONGS. IN CHAINS!!!!"
After all that he pulls me with him and we make it to the castle. He takes me to "our" room and throws me onto the bed. "Who do you think you are doing ANYTHING with that scum." He yells to me. I start to cry. "Huh.. ANSWERE ME!!" I don't make any eye contact at all. So he walks up to me and grabs my chin. "Tell me ARIS, what were you doing with him." I look at him with eyes filled with tears. "If I were to tell anyone anything it wouldn't be you." He yanks my chin back and says. "You will be my princess, my queen, we'll make a great family. What's so hard about that?" He walks around the room as he says this. "What's hard is I won't marry you, and I don't love you. I love someone else." I say muttering. He stops in his tracks and looks at me. "You really think you could just love some scum off the street. Hah, what is with you. Your a PRINCESS, Not some girl off the streets. You marry royalty not street rats." I look straight at him. "IF YOU FIND SOMEONE YOU LOVE, THAT YOU CARE ABOUT. THATS SOMEONE YOU WOULD WANT TO MARRY. NOT SOMEONE YOUR PARENTS CHOOSE. NOT SOME PRINCE YOU DONT KNOW. YOU MARRY SOMEONE WITH HEART. SOMEONE YOU LOVE." I yell right to his face.
He walks over to the door and opens it. He whispers to the soldier. Then the soldier leaves for a couple minutes then comes back. He gives Quaren chains. He walks over to me, grabs my wrist and pulls me over to one part of the wall. He chains the chain to my neck then hooks it to a high place I can't reach." That will keep you in here." He says with a smile. "Don't make me chain anything else." He walks and kneels to me and grabs my chin. For what seems like hours he kisses me. Finally he lets go and walks out of the room. I'm left all alone. I start to cry.

"I'm never getting out of this." I whisper...
