She awoke to the sound of his snoring. It was how they often slept now, together over Skype. Just hearing the little noises he made and knowing he was there was a comfort to her. She swiped her phone and looked through her huge collection of pictures of him, yet again. There he was with the filter that made him look like a lost puppy. It was so cute! She missed him even though he was on voice. She wanted to feel his arms around her, hugging her from behind.
Her thoughts were broken by a murmur from the phone. She realized he said "Baby".
"Yes sugar?", she answered.
"I love you."
"I love you too," she replied. He fell asleep again almost immediately. She smiled to herself and drifted off to sleep.
