warning: extreme fluff and cuteness coming your way
-it was late, your eyes were bloodshot and you couldn't seem to move your body. grayson was asleep besides you — his body limp and steal, little snores escaping his lips also. you weren't sure why you couldn't sleep tonight. grayson and you had been hanging out all day so you couldn't understand why you weren't completely exhausted by now.
groaning, you smash a pillow on top of your head out of frustration. while slowly leaving your bed trying not to wake the sleepy boy, you exit the room and tip toe down the hallway. you make it down the staircase successfully sighing in relief. you open the fridge to find leftovers from the afternoon that you definitely did not want at this hour too.
"milk! that's what i need, a warm glass of milk." you smile at your genius idea grabbing the milk from the refrigerator, pouring it into your cup and putting it into the microwave. you then hopped onto the kitchen counter and dangled your feet off the floor. you were kinda short so this type of thing was normal for you. you couldn't help but to giggle thinking of all the cheesy short jokes gray has pulled on you.
"what are you laughing at, babe?" a familiar deep voice appears in the shadows suddenly. you yelp out of surprise looking up to see grayson himself, yawning and scratching the back of his neck as he just woke up. you roll your eyes as he just looks at you like he had did nothing. to be honest you didn't even hear his foot steps.
"gray! don't do that you scared me shitless."
"oh please, and stop cursing you're only ten." he chuckled walking over to you sliding in between your thighs without permission. he grabs your face and kisses you passionately, you couldn't resist of course.
yet, you pull away cringing.
"ew. you have morning breath, and just because i have the height of a child doesn't mean i should be treated like one." you confess shamelessly, yet pouting your lips like a four year old anyway. grayson found you absolutely adorable, staring deep into your eyes that sparkled so bright in the darkness of the kitchen. he was so lucky to have a girl like you.
even if you did pretend to be a brat just to get his attention sometimes, he always gave it you neither less.
grayson then glances over to the microwave to see your milk heating up, he furrows his eyebrows in confusion. "y/n, why are you heating up milk at 4 o'clock in the morning?" he rolls his hazel eyes at you like you were crazy or something.
"i couldn't sleep, okay? i didn't have any other options." you reply taking your drink out of the microwave gripping it by the handle. you immediately blow at it to make sure it was nice and cool for you to drink, lifting it up towards your lips until grayson abruptly snatches the cup and places it on the counter. "hey!" you frown, curious on what he was about to do.
"why have a glass of milk when you can have a glass of me?" he smirks, wiggling his thick eyebrows. you couldn't help but to burst out in laughter as he wraps your legs around his waist and carries you upstairs. you start to kiss lightly at his neck, as you and grayson arrive to your room — he put you gently on your bed, and you two stare into one another's orbs.
you could see so much love and lust, but mostly admiration, his facial expressions showed plenty of signs also. you tangled your hands in his hair, knowing he enjoyed it just as much as you did.
"i love you." you mumble, not sure if he heard you very well from the low tone, but he did. and little did you know he was so happy and overjoyed just to hear those words come out of your mouth.
"i love you so much more." he whispers ever so softly, leaning down to peck at your earlobe. a smile creeps on your face as you let him lay upon your chest and fall asleep, thankfully that night you finally found peace, and fell asleep with him as one.
