Bea's POV

Jho is taking too long. Alam naman niyang ayaw ko sa dilim eh.

A few moments later may umilaw na 2 fairy lights sa sand. They were apart from each other.

Enough for someone to walk in.

Finally my ilaw na kahit konti. I didn’t mind the lights kasi baka may ginagawa lang na bagong facilities yung beach.

Siguro mga 30 seconds after may umilaw ulit na dalawang fairy lights sa taas nung naunang umilaw. This time it’s with a paper.

Mga size ng one fourth index card. I was curious kung ano yun so I took it.

Something was written on it.

I’m sorry for the darkness.

But I promise you it won’t be long.

Because in just a moment you’re gonna be my life's happiness.

It doesn’t make any sense to me. It might be a note for someone else, but while I was reading it, I felt like it was really meant for me.

After I read the note another fairy lights lit up. It has another note with it. I read the note and it says:

Bea, this is for you.

I’m here to tell you that you’re on the right track.

Sorry for making you feel blue.

Just keep walking to fix that broken crack.

I did what I was told and walked on the light path.

I passed by a few lights and saw another note.

You brought the stars into my dark sky.

And you were the answer to my every why.

You’re my dream come true.

That’s why I want to say I love you.

Cheezy ng nagsulat nito, but I can’t help but smile.

I continued walking.

I saw bamboo poles and there were strings attached to them. May lights rin.

And on the strings were pictures of me printed on a polaroid film and a quote next to it.

There were pictures of me on the court, our trip in Japan, mostly IG pictures, and some pictures that was taken by Thirdy on some of our few dates.

There was this pic when we had an ice cream date and I was holding a strawberry Ice Cream.

One picture caught my attention.

I don’t remember anyone taking that picture of me.

I was holding my phone, I was taking picture of the beach, and the only person there was Thirdy. Next to that picture was a quote.

You look at the sea like it was meant for you.

Habang tinitignan ko yung mga pictures, and as I smile unknowingly, a song played.

It was an instrumental of Tagpuan by Moira.

I looked straight.

My tears were racing down my cheeks before I even know it.

My heart fluttered.

My tears blurred my sight.

But it was clear to me who the person in front of me is.

When I reached the end of the pathway, lights lit up all around us, revealing everyone. Friends, family, teammates, schoolmates.

This is a moment where everyone was happy. Some were taking videos. Some were taking pictures. Some were emotional. Especially Mom and Tita Mozzy. Haha.

I wiped my tears away. Then Thirdy began speaking.

“Bei, I think it’s obvious to you what this is. But give me a chance to explain.”

I giggled.

“To begin with, I want to say I’m sorry for making you think na ayaw ko na sa’yo. Jho told me everything.” He said then looked over to Jhoanna.

“So, the reason I’m doing this is because exactly one year ago, this extraordinary exquisite girl in front of me allowed me to court her.”

He can’t refrain from smiling which made me smile too.

“And I think one year is more than enough.

Bea, you’ve been bringing light to my dark days and I want you to not just be that.

I was already crying even after he finished.

Thirdy brought out a small box. He opened it.
