Chapter Seven

Ginny's Point of View

Odd. Odd is I would describe Lottie right now. She disappears for a day and reappears like nothing happened.
Anyway Mum and Dad found out, sadly. They babied her, asking if she is okay or if she wants to come home. Their little princess disappeared for a day and of course it was all my fault. I got a howler from them saying I should of been there to protect her and what not. I now have all my classes with Lottie because Mum and Dad begged Dumbledore to change it. Sadly he gave in. Everything has now gone back to normal. Lottie doesn't disappear and reappear now but she does act strange. She is always writing in that diary of hers. She is very protective over it. She hides it or closes it when anyone comes into the room. We ask her about and she goes deathly pale. I was walking back to the common room. I was surprised when I saw Luna standing there. She saw me and turned her back on me. I wish I knew why she stopped liking me. "Hi Luna, what are you doing here?" I asked her. I knew I was gonna get a mean comment back, but I just wanted to talk to my old friend, even for a bit.
"Hello Ginerva, I am waiting for Lottie, we are going to the library to study" she responded and I flinched when she said my full name.
"It's Ginny" I mumbled. She just turned her back on me. Then, much to my surprise, Cedric Diggory showed up.
"Hey Luna, do you know when Lottie will be ready?" He asked ignoring me.
"Hey Cedric, she should be out in a minute" She said. I guess he is going with them as well. Then the portrait opened and Lottie walked out. Both of their faces brightened up.
"Hey Luna, Cedric, sorry I took so long Harry wanted to talk to me. Oh hey Ginny" she said, I saw Cedric tense, jealousy in his eyes. I just gave Lottie a small wave.
"That's alright, come on we should go to the library before it closes" Luna said and glared at me. I flinched. Lottie nodded and wave to me before walking to the library with Luna and Cedric. I walking into the common room to see Hermione with her nose in her book and Harry and Ron playing chess.
"Ha I win again" Ron shouted.
"Ron you always win unless you play against Lottie" I said. It's true he always lets Lottie win because he doesn't want to get her upset.
"Shut up Ginny" he says angry. What got his kickers in a twist.
"Hey Hermione, H-Harry" I stutters at Harry's name. Hermione looked up from her book and nodded to say hello but Harry just ignored me. Ouch that hurt.
"Did i just see Lottie walk off with Luna and Cedric?" He asked me. At least he said something to me even if it was something about Lottie. I just nodded. It was jealousy in his eyes. I went up to my dorm and the first thing I saw was Lottie's diary poking out from her pillow. I quickly grabbed it not being able to help my self. I flicked though the pages but it was empty. I was really confused. That's when I saw something on the first page that wasn't there before.
'Lottie are you there?' It asked. My blood ran cold. I quickly grabbed a quill and started to write.
'No this is Ginny, Lottie's older sister' I replied. My hands started shacking when the writing vanished and came up with more.
'Ah yes Lottie has talked about you a lot, my name is Tom Riddle ' It read. At least someone in my family talks about me even if it is to a book.
'Why are you talking to my little sister, do you even go to hogwarts?' I asked, I got a strange and scary vibe from this book.
'Yes, once upon a time. I was in Slytherin.' It wrote. My face paled. Then I heard footsteps. I shoved the diary back under Lottie's pillow and jumped on my bed grabbing a book in the process to make it look like I was reading. As soon as I got on my bed the door opened an there stood Lottie, Ellie and Holly.
"How was studying?" I asked Lottie.
"It was okay." she said getting changed and getting into bed. I tried to sleep but I couldn't. All I could think about that diary. And Tom Riddle.
