Two ... Three ... Four ...
I stared at the clock as the second hand was just about to hit 12
RIIIIING
The whole classroom stood up as if on command and a whole lot of chatter were heard. I grabbed at my stuff as I attempted to gather everything quickly unfortunately, my plan backfired and my bag toppled over the edge of my desk
"No, no, no, no," I sighed as I saw my bag drop to the floor, contents spilling out like vomit. I sighed once more and proceeded to picking them up
"Why am I not surprised?"
I didn't bother to look up instead, I rolled my eyes and picked the last pen that was on the floor putting it into my bag before getting up. "Shut up." I walked out the classroom with Liam hot on my heels. He pulled me into him by the waist and pecked my forehead, "don't be all grumpy babe." He chuckled slightly
"I'm just tired. I can't wait to graduate." I explained as I tucked my hair behind my ear and leant into him. I stopped walking which caused him to stop, turned to fully face him and placed my hands on his arms that laced around my waist.
"Are you alright?" I asked referring to earlier during the day when his coach told him that he would have to step down from being quarterback. Liam's face was frozen for a bit then it softened and he gave me a small smile which I wasn't buying
"Sure I am." He replied and I raised a perfectly done brow at him. He turned me around and placed his arm around my shoulder as we continued to walk out the school. "I'm perfectly fine, believe me. Besides, I'd rather spend time with my girlfriend than be stuck on the pitch." He tried to reassure me.
I smiled as we made it to my car. I leant against the car and he placed his hands on either side of it, "Make sure your clumsy self gets home safe." He smirked and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck as I pulled him closer to deepen the kiss suddenly, my phone rang out and he pulled away with a sigh. I pulled out my phone to see a call from my friend Elaine. She was definitely calling about the project for our history class. I sighed deeply and ignored the call, wrapped my arms around Liam and continued kissing him until I felt a drop of rain hit against my bare arms.
"C'mon!" Liam laughed and looked up, "I'm trying to kiss my girl over here!" He screamed at nature and I laughed. We said our goodbyes and he pecked my lips before he walked over to his car. I got into the warmth and dryness of mine and drove off towards my house.
Music blared through the entire car as I danced along at a red light tapping the steering wheel as if it were a drum set but all this died down once the lights switched to green telling me to proceed to my journey home.
The famous iPhone ringtone disturbed my music and I sighed and decided that I might as well speak to Elaine at that point in time. I multitasked between looking for my phone in my bag and watching the road succeeding as I pressed the 'answer' button.
"Yep?" I answered chirpily
"I've called you four times Teddy wth!" Elaine complained and I rolled my eyes as I moved my hair to one side peeping into the review mirror to check if the scar I had on my neck was still there but it was gone, "ah" escaped my lips softly and I shrugged it off
"What?" Elaine spoke
"Oh nothing, I only just got your call now." I lied and she sighed. I looked at my wrist but that scar was also gone. Confused, I checked both my neck and wrist a couple more times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
"Wait.. are you driving?" Elaine asked and I replied with "mmhmm" as I focused on the road ahead. The rain had gotten heavier and I found it a bit harder to see.. "Hello.. you still there?"
"Yeah Elaine I'm here what's on your mind about the project?" I asked as I took a right turn into a long road that didn't look familiar "Fuck!" I slapped the steering wheel because I'd taken a wrong turn.
"What's wrong?" Elaine asked
"I took a wrong turn. I can barely see the road from all this rain." I explained and I heard a tv in the background
"Yeah.. figures so. We're meant to stay in because a storm's coming." She explained
"What?" I slapped the wheel again and she laughed
"Duh, that's why you're meant to view the weather before you leave out." She continued to laugh
"If you continue to laugh, I'll hang up." I warned and she cleared her throat
"Alright I'm sorry," she sounded amused. "Just get home quick"
I took that as an opportunity to speed towards my house trying to get to warmth as quickly as I could.
"Definitely. The rain is getting worse." I replied as I took a left turn and saw bright headlights and heard a piercing scream...
