"We can't just let her be without a manager!" a man's voice echoed inside the office. I was holding my hand against my chest, trying to recover from what Jeongyeon did.
"But we can't just give her some random manager! She's Momo!" another voice shouted.
Jeongyeon sighed loudly and opened the door, making the people stare.
"What seems to be the problem, people?" she entered and smiled sarcastically. I felt a shiver. I have been in one or two meetings with the board and Jeongyeon never really cared. She rarely comments and was just there for the sake of being the co-owner.
"Momo needs a manager!" the man wearing a gray suit said.
"I know that already!" Sooyoung-unnie hissed. "I'm looking for someone now!"
"We need someone who can be trusted! She's the face of this company!" this time, it was a woman.
"I'll do it," Jeongyeon said coldly. "Don't you raise your voice on my sister, Madame. You may be a board member but she's still your CEO."
Jeongyeon was standing tall, arms crossed in front of her, jaw tense and obviously mad. Her eyes fumed with rage as she looked at the members.
"Are you sure?" the man said.
She nodded, "I'll make sure the press are under control. Until Bora-unnie comes back, I'll be her manager."
Do I not have a say in this? I'm the artist after all. And besides, why is she my manager?! Can't it be Sooyoung-unnie instead?
"Bora is our top manager in this company, which is exactly why she's assigned to Momo but since there are circumstances we cannot control, Jeongyeon will replace her for the meantime. Do you have any more concerns?" Sooyoung-unnie asked. The board members shook their heads and went out of the room.
"Those assholes," Jeongyeon uttered and slumped down the couch.
"Words, Jeongyeon," Unnie scolded. She just scoffed and closed her eyes. Unnie turned to me, "Momo, I know you're having a hard time digesting what happened but no need to worry, just continue to work on your schedules and Jeongyeon will do everything for you."
"Damn right," she said. Sooyoung unnie threw a pencil at her to shut her up.
"The board wanted to assign a manager to you so that they can dig dirt and replace us in our position," she continued. "With Jeongyeon as your manager, they can't find anything out because they can'y get pass her, okay?" I nodded.
Sooyoung unnie stood up and walked to her fridge. She grabbed a whole cake and we all ate it. It was somehow awkward because Jeongyeon was just quiet and watching me eat but I didn't care. Not after what she did.

I was standing inside my room when Sana entered, "Momo, I got accepted!" she squealed and hugged me.
"Congratulations, Satang!" I laughed and hugged her too. "When will you start training?"
"Tomorrow! I will meet with someone named Nayeon for vocal lessons," she happily said. I was smiling at her because Sana is just the cutest. "Momo, you're not okay," she pouted.
I forgot. She can read my like an open book.
"Satang, have you ever been hurt by someone so badly?" I asked and sat down by the window.
"I don't remember," she sat in front of me and stared. "Why, Momo? Did someone hurt you?"
I smiled sadly. Someone continues to hurt me even if I don't want to anymore. I just want to be free and chase my dreams but somehow, I'll end up chasing it with her.
