That night, Eric didn't sleep.  All he could think about was Kyle's reaction to his confession. Would the redhead hate him, or think he's weird.. or be grossed out? By morning he decided not to go to school, it was Thursday, and his mom made him promise to go tomorrow. However, at school Kyle wondered where the brunette was. He asked around, his friends, his classmates. No one saw Cartman, and the redhead was honestly concerned. Kenny reassures him that their friend was most likely okay, and Stan made an angry comment towards the chubby teen. Kyle hadn't told them what Eric had said, he also sort of felt bad that he left the poor brunette at school yesterday. By the end of that day, Kyle seemed on edge. After school he walked to Cartman's, knocked but got no answer. Was no one home? He called the brunette's phone for the second time, still no answer.

Eric shut off his phone, and stayed in his room almost all day, mostly in his bed. He didn't feel like doing anything, and when his mother said she was going out for the evening he shrugged her off. Kyle had kept knocking for a bit, waiting and trying to call him again, sort of worried by now. Soon it starting raining, and the redhead decided to go back home. That night Kyle had trouble sleeping, laying on his bed, the moonlight shining into his room. He looked down where Eric wrote his name on the cast, the moonlight reflecting off it, making it shiny. The redhead sighed, he honestly missed the other, sure they bickered but the brunette was nearly always by his side. Kyle was confused, unsure if he really had feelings for Eric or if he just felt guilty. Either way, he was hoping the chubby teen would show up to school tomorrow.

The next morning Eric woke up around the normal time for a school day, last night he had somehow fallen asleep at a decent time. He knew he had to apoligize for suddenly dropping that whole I like you   so suddenly, maybe he could say it was just a joke. After all, it didnt seem like Kyle was very happy hearing it, maybe it was better to pretend he didnt mean it. He just hoped the redhead wouldn't be too upset. The chubby teen went about his normal morning routine, and just like almost every day, he threw up bloody flower petals. It wasnt much, a lot less than most days, though that didnt make it any easier. After he showered, he got dressed and headed downstairs. After what happened he decided not to take the bus, if Kyle was upset he didn't want to be on a bus with him, more specifically Stan who took things way too far when it came to protecting Kyle.

Cartman arrived after the bus did, walking into the school, slowing down when he saw Kyle at the lockers. Maybe the redhead would just go to class, he felt much too anxious to talk to him now. The brunette stopped when his friend turned around and looked at him. "Cartman. Hey-" Kyle walks up to him rather quickly. "Can I talk to you? In the-" He looked around, spotting the two doors some feet away. "Locker room." He looks back at Eric, who makes a soft confused noise before nodding. Kyle seems to waste no time strolling over to those doors, and the chubby teen hesitantly follows. What was he afraid of? He couldn't think of why Kyle would want to talk to him in there.

Once inside, as the door clicked behind them, Eric inhales sharply. "Look, Kahl, I'm sorry, ok? I shouldn't of said that yesterday, I know you're probably mad-" The brunette seemed to ramble, on and on about how sorry he was. Kyle had tried to tell him that it was fine many times, though he only kept going. He even started apologizing about the accident again, the redhead rolled his eyes, reaching up and cupping the chubby teen's cheek with his hand. In seconds, Kyle had leaned down and pressed his lips firmly to Eric's, which had certainly shut him up. His eyes grew wide, though after a moment of shock he kissed back. It felt so wonderful to him, even though it had only lasted a few moments.

When Kyle pulled away, he brushed his thumb over the other's cheek bone and chuckled softly. "I'm not mad at you. Everything has just been kind of crazy lately, and I didn't know how to respond when you told me.." He shrugged a bit, lowering his hand before smiling at the other. "I wasn't sure how I felt but, I think I am now." He adds. Eric stared at him for a moment, smiling wildly before stepping closer and wrapping his arms around the other. He pressed his cheek against Kyle's chest. "I didn't think you would... feel the same way. I didn't even know if you um... liked guys.." His voice became quieter.

The redhead returned the hug, gently brushing his hand over the other's back. "Oh. I do like guys." He chuckles, reaching his hand up to brush his fingers through Eric's soft hair. "Everyone thinks I'm straight, even Stan." He mutters, sighing a bit. "We can't tell anyone, alright? We can go out, on dates and shit but here we have to act at least sort of normal." He says, referring to their normal bickering. "Why?" Eric asks quietly, looking up at him, sort of afraid the other was ashamed of him.

"If my mom finds out she'll be pissed.. She doesn't know I like guys, and if she finds out I'm dating one, specifically you  she'll flip her shit." Kyle replies, bringing his hand down to rest on the other's side. After a moment, he broke the hug and took a small step back. "We should get back to class, but it is Friday. Are you doing anything later?" He smiled, one of those smiles that made Eric's heart race. "Oh, yeah, your mom." Eric rolled his eyes a bit, not really liking Sheila at all. "I'm free. Did you wanna.. hang out?" He then returned the smile, looking love-struck. Kyle chuckled a bit, thinking the brunette looked quite cute, and he nodded. "Yeah, but your house. I don't want to hear my mom preach about how much she doesn't like you." He replied.

Eric nods, smiling happily. "Sweet. Its been a while since we spent time together." He seemed really excited about it, especially because things had seemed to go the opposite of how he thought they would go. Kyle was a bit amused by how happy the other was. "It has been a while, I kind of miss it." He chuckles a bit. "C'mon, lets get to class, before we get in trouble." He says, turning and walking towards the exit to the locker room. The chubby teen followed after him, relieved that things had turned out better than expected.
