It was around midnight when you heard a knock on your bedroom window. The knock was fast and frantic and the night was dark and stormy. The wind pushed tree branches against the side of the house and window, but the knock was different. You cautiously made your way over to the window and slowly pulled the curtains out of the way. There, sat on the roof just outside of the window, dripping wet from the rain, was Charlie Hogan. You were around the same age as Charlie and had seen him around town. 'Charlie?' You asked. 'Please open up Y/N.' He said, his eyes pleading. You opened your window and stepped back as Charlie climbed through it. He shut the window behind him and closed the curtains quickly. 'What are you doing here?' You asked. He turned to look at you and simply answered, 'Bad job.' You knew what he meant straight away. You knew the things Ace Merrill made the other Cobras do and knew what Charlie meant by 'job'. 'You must be cold.' You said, turning around and grabbing a fluffy blanket from the back of your desk chair. 'Take your clothes off, you'll freeze to death.' You told him, handing him the blanket. A blush rose to Charlie's face as he turned around and peeled his wet shirt from his torso, then his jeans from his long legs. He wrapped the blanket around him and moved closer to you. 'Thank you.' He said quietly not looking into your eyes. You had always thought Charlie was cute, and seeing him all flustered made butterflies erupt in your tummy. 'It's no problem.' You told him, equally as quiet. There was silence between the two of you, before Charlie spoke up. 'You must be tired. Don't stay awake in account of me.' He said. You nodded and moved back into your bed. You lay down and watched as Charlie lay down on the rug next to your bed. The two of you lay in silence for a while until you spoke up. 'Charlie?' You whispered into the darkness. 'Yes?' He whispered back. 'Can you come up here and lay with me?' There was silence then the sound of Charlie getting up. You moved over and lifted the covers so he could get under them with you. Charlie lay on his back while you were on your side, peering at him. That lasted for a while until you decided to take a chance. Slowly, you closed your eyes and draped your arm across his bare torso. Charlie looked over at you and pulled you closer. A smile made it's way to your face when he wrapped his arms around your waist. 'Goodnight Charlie.' You whispered. 'Goodnight Y/N.' He whispered back.
