"I never loved you, Elena.""What? What the heck are you on about, Damon?"
"In fact I used you. You're a copy of Katherine, but she will always be hotter then you. No way would you better her beauty."
The words, the abandonment. Everything he had once told her had rushed back like a bunch of fans running towards a celebrity. He had never loved her. It was true, Damon's word were sincere. She felt every word he said hit her like a knife, a dagger being shoved into her heart. But why didn't it let her burn? Why didn't she feel the fire rising just enough to kill her? It wasn't like she was meant for this world to happen anyways.
Elena Gilbert looked over the edge of Wickery Bridge. Everyone who she loved had died, and she had watched them die. Her Mother and Father drowned here, and she couldn't stop it. Jeremy had been dead in front of her eyes, and she couldn't stop it. Jenna was killed by Klaus, and she couldn't stop it. The girl felt weak, useless, a waste of space being on the earth.
The Petrova Brunette felt her hands clutching tightly onto the railing as she allowed herself to climb over towards the edge, her hands twirling around to continue to grip onto the railing tighter.
Maybe it was best for her to just end it all, to fall. To drown like her mother and father did. To be with them like she was supposed to be. Stefan wasn't supposed to save her - she should of been dead. Why wasn't she dead?
Elena took a deep breath and shut her eyes as she stood onto the edge of the railing, looking down at the fast current of the water. Any moment now and she'd be floating around with her parents. Yes, this was her death. Happening within a blink of an eye. This was happening.
Without any more hesitation, she felt her hands release the railing and as her body tilted towards the lake, she didn't try stop herself. However, something, or someone, did stop her.
The brunette gasped for air feeling two tight grips against both her arms. Much to her surprise, the Mikaelson family were there. Kol and Elijah Mikaelson were holding her both by the arms while Rebekah and Klaus Mikaelson were sitting in the dark black SUV not so far away from the railing.
Elena felt herself squirming from their grip as the two brothers lifted her back over the railing. Rebekah ran over with a small blanket and wrapped it over her shoulders before hugging her gently.
"What the heck were you thinking?!" Rebekah accused her, holding her fragile trembling body with her gentle arms as she used the blanket to warm her up.
"Darling, you're too young to think about doing this." Kol muttered towards the female, noticing how shaken up she was and immediately he took in charge from Rebekah, holding onto her olive-skinned fragile body and warmed her up using his masculine hands.
Elijah released her arm and wiped the incoming tears from her cheek as he frowned. "Don't even try do this again, Elena. You're young, you have a life to live."
Elena felt her eyes stinging as tears ran down her cheeks. She couldn't help but lay her face onto Kol's shoulder and ball out in tears. The second youngest Mikaelson inhaled as he held her close towards the warmth of his body to soothe her a little.
Niklaus Mikaelson, being the impatient hybrid that he was, came out from the SUV and looked over at his siblings and the doppelgänger.
