Glancing up to the ceiling, they tried to find where the drip was coming from. Lightning flashed, helping with their little light problem in the dark, empty Walmart.
"I think the storms getting worse." Eric said. It was pretty clear that it was but someone just had to say something. Arix nodded but just looked forward and continued walking. "Aisle 4 has chips, want any?"
She grabbed his hand, "We can't just steal it."
"Sure we can! The storm is supposed to last 5 days, what are we supposed to do? Starve?" Eric was starve anyway because he skipped lunch.
"Well," she exclaimed, "at least pay for it."
"They can just put it on my tab." and with that he marched away from Arix.
Soon Arix followed him and grabbed an armfuls of chips. "Might as well, since your paying." she sighed whimsical.
"Ah, why I oughtta," he ran up to her and looped his arms around her dainty waist and picked her up, swinging her around as she dropped her stock pile in the process. Giggling, she grabbed his face and kissed him, hoping he'd let her down but not let go.
Ever.
