Dreams

It's A New Day: The Clock Resets

Jin's eyes never left the person who lays limp on the bed. His chair was perfectly positioned in front of the bed and his head was rested on the pillow with his hand intwined with the person's. Sometimes he fears that if he closes his eyes for too long, the person will simply fade away and shatter like a butterfly. Small little arguments ran through his head, debating on weather or not he should close his eyes. Giving up, his eyes where consumed with darkness.

~Jin's Dream~

His surroundings were like he was in a pitch black abyss. The only thing there was him and the chair he was sitting on.

He felt someone touch his shoulder as he looked up and realized that 'the' Kim Taehyung, was standing in front of him looking better than ever. Showing his never failing, box smile.

"Taehyung...you're ok. But how?" Taehyung smiled at him, the smile that he feared, would disappear.

"Hyung, why? Did you have a nightmare? What are you so worried about me? I'm fine."

'I'm fine.' The 2 words that Taehyung would always say, even though he wasn't.

Jin couldn't believe his eyes, he was debating on weather or not this was a dream.

"You were in the hospital....how are you fine?"

"Look at me hyung, I'm standing in front of you and I'm pretty sure I'm fine. Just smile."

He was glad that it was all a nightmare and hugged Tae like there was no tomorrow. Tears escaped his eyes.

Suddenly, when he let go of Taehyung, they were both in the kitchen, back at the dorm.

"Would you like some pancakes, Tae?" When he looked up at the younger, he saw his eyes lit up and he shook his head, signaling that he wanted some.

"Yes please. But this time, only for me. Last time, Jimin hyung and J-Hope hyung ate all of the pancakes." Jin chuckled and nodded.

"OR maybe, you can give them just one. I can't blame them. You're pancakes are the best, hyung!"

He could only smile, but his heart gave him a tug for how selfless he was. All he could do, was to hug Tae again.

"You promise me you'll never leave us, Tae."

"Yes.....I promise I will never leave you guys. Maybe I should eat these pancakes later. Sorry for waking you up hyung."

Jin kept shaking his head, fearing that the younger would leave him again.

But before he could utter another word, he felt himself give up and went to sleep.

~End Of Jin's Dream~

"Hyung."

"Hyung!"

"I'm awake Tae, you can have some of the pancakes first." When he opened his eyes, he was met with a worried face of RM.

"Hyung, what were you dreaming of?"

He looked around and realized that he was still in the same room as he was in before he went to sleep. The white curtains, the tubes and wires that were connected to a very pale and weak boy.

"He promised that he wouldn't go anywhere......he promised."

As the words left his mouth, he was hit by the cold reality called life. The dream flooded his mind, as he drowned in his own guilt.

Promise me that we will be there for each other during our brightest days and our darkest nights, hyung.

Sadly, he broke this promise to Tae.
