Feelings - Your Part

Natsu:

It is still quite early in the morning, you are sitting at the bar in Fairy Tail drinking a coffee/tea (whatever you prefer). Half a year ago round and about you joined the guild and you do not regret a single moment since then. The guild is loud and crazy but that is what makes it the most interesting.

"Well, (Y/N), what actually brings you here this early?" the whitehaired bartender asks, Mirajane.

"Well, Natsu wanted to meet me here. We wanted to take a job request together" you answer with a shrug.

"I see" Mirajane simply smiles and starts putting away cleaned plates and glasses. That's when the guilddoors open and a guy with salmon coloured hair, that by now you knoe all too well, enters.

"(Y/N)!" he shouts right through the still quite empty guildhall.

"Natsu!" you shout back from were you sit at the bar and wave at him. Smiling widely he walks over.

"Hey (Y/N) shall we go pick a job?" he asks and just about now you notice Happy who is laying on Natsu's head still sleeping soundly.

"I thought that was why I had to get up this early?" you reply with a playful angry tone but at the same time you are smiling brightly. Laughing he drags you over to the Request Board. A few jobs are pinned there this morning.

"This is the first job we take together, you decide" Natsu grins and you let your eyes wander. One request sparks your interest.

"How about this one? 'A group of bandits are terrorising our property'. He is worth 160.000 Jewel" you suggest pointing at the piece of paper.

"Awesome! I'm all fired up" he laughs and shots you his famous closed eyed grin. In return you give him a sweet smile. Then you turn around to show the request to Mirajane, hiding your blushing cheeks from the dragonslayer in the same process.

Without any difficulties you're allowed to take the request but to get there you have to endure a two hours ride by train. Natsu hates vehicles of all kind, due to his motion sickness, a fact you are very well aware of.

As soon as the train starts moving, his face turns a blueish-green and he swallows hard.

"You alright, Natsu?" you ask while petting Happy who is sitting next to you and looking out of the window.

"I feel sick" the fire mage mumbles holding his stomach and his head at the same time. Seeing him so helpless pains you and therefore you slowly pull his head down on your lap. "What are you doing there?" he manages to choke out.

"Maybe it'll help. Sure I am moving alongside the train but we are nakama and you can fly with Happy too, right?" you answer with a shrug. The idea was spontanious, the worst that can happen is nothing and you at least wanted to try to help.

He makes himself confortable on your lap and closes his eyes. His face ist still a bit green but his breathing steadied again. Absentmindedly you stroke his salmon hair out of his sweaty face. Although he is not feeling completely well, he is feeling better, that is all that matters to you. You are friends, nakama, although you have to admit - while Natsu slowly falls asleep on your lap - that by now you like him way more than just as your best friend...

Gray:

"Hey, (Y/N)" a voice sounds right behind you. you turn around and discover your good friend Gray. He is - surprisingly - completely dressed and walks over to you waving.

"Hey Gray" you answer stopping so he can come up to you. "What's up?"

"Here, I wanted to ask if maybe you want to come with me..." the ice mage says holding up a piece of paper from the request board.
