Natsu

This job could have definitely gone better, you think as you limp through the door to your apartment.

"Stupid monsters", Natsu is mumbling behind you rubbing his sore back. You're both a bit under the weather as you two thought it would be a good idea to free an entire village from a monster plague, alone. Well it worked but the monsters scored some good points too. Your body is scratched and bruised everywhere and it's actually a miracle your leg isn't broken after the crash you took. Natsu is bruised too and he has a nice black eye. Even Happy is tousled and tired as the cat helped the best he could.

"Right now I definitely need a bath", you mumble throwing your bag down on the couch. "You can go in after me if you like"

Natsu just makes an approving noise letting himself fall unto the couch next to your bag.

The warm water in the tub does wonders to your aching and sore muscles. Sadly it doesn't work on scratches and bruises the same way.

As you reemerge from the bathroom, you're wearing your pj's, a pair of sweatpants and a simple top coloured a light grey.

"If you like, you can go to the bathroom now", you calmy state while drying your hair with a towel. Natsu nods, eyes closed, but he stands up and goes to the bathroom anyway. Happy seems to have fallen asleep as the blue cat is snoring softly. Smiling you put your towel away and carry the cat to your bed laying him down at the end of it. He yawns but curls back up and continues to sleep.

Shortly after Natsu walks into the room, just wearing pants and his scarf. Now you can see all the bruises and scratches on his body even better than before. Well your choice of clothing isn't doing much conceiling yours either. He yawns loudly and you pat the free space next to you on the bed with a smile. With a tired smile on his still handsome face he doesn't need to be asked twice as he lays down on his back right next to you. You pull your covers up and cover your bodys halfway. Then you simply turn yourself to lay on his chest and place your head right above his heart. As if it was the most natural thing to do, Natsu puts his arm around you and pulls you close to his side. You put on of your legs over his and put your free hand next to your head on his chest.

"Before we try something like this a second time, we need to train more" you murmur in an undertone. You can hear and feel Natsu laughing slightly.

"Then we know, what we will do the next days" you can see his grin as you lift your head. With closed eyes he is smiling down at you. You cannot help the grin on your face as this looks so hilarious with the black eye he has.

"Let's at least wait until the worst bruises are gone, okay my dragon?" you silently ask giving him a peck on the lips. His smile changes and the look he gives you out of his onyx eyes is full of emotions.

"Sure, but not too long, yes little flame?" you nod and lay your head back down. Listening to his calm heartbeat and his calm breathing you start to doze off. His warm hand is stroking your side soflty while you do the same with the hand on his chest.

Two tired mages - mates cuddling close in bed. Considering this the job did went absolutely perfect.

Gray

As you wake up, you discover with a smile that it had snowed overnight. Humming happily you're therefore on your way to the guildhall after your daily routine. You want to look for your ice demon asking him if he maybe wants to spend the day outside in the snow with you.

As soon as you reach the guild you can hear the ruckus from inside. As expected a huge brawl is in action and you can see it as you open the doors. You dodge a passing Loke who doesn't look as if he took the last hit too well and start searching the chaos for your boyfriend. After a while you discover him between Elfman and Natsu.
