Chapter 5: The Small Reunion

The next day was a Friday. Tomorrow, Mark and several others would visit the neighbouring school and watch a boxing match. At first, Mark didn't want to go, because that school was where Mark's former love interest, Athena, went to. However, Mark had to sacrifice his Saturday to watch the boxing match, because a meteor had landed there, and it could contain one of the gloves. Mark had to find these gloves before the Caidoz Empire found them.

Meanwhile, Lord Caidoz was upset with Suvroc, for losing one of the gloves.
"It wasn't my fault," said Suvroc worryingly. "Those guys got in the way!"
"You, Suvroc, my advisor...almost got destroyed by Terrans? Those guys are supposed to be weak without those gloves!" Caidoz said.
"But...those guys have railguns! Only someone with advanced technology could possess the ability to create railguns... those guys aren't normal humans!" Suvroc said.
"That doesn't excuse your failure!" Caidoz shouted. "Prepare for your punishment!"
Caidoz pulled out a glowing, ancient-looking, yellow-bladed sword. He pointed the sword at Suvroc and raised it in the air, about to swing it down and cut Suvroc's head off. Suvroc didn't want that, but noticed a red dot on his map of Terra, where all the meteors landed.
"Wait, Caidoz!" Suvroc said desperately, so he could be spared. "I saw something on the map! It's the most dangerous glove out of all of them!"
"You better not fail to find him, Suvroc...or else this sword will no longer be a decoration for my ship." Caidoz said.
Suvroc left the ship, ready to find the red glove.

Meanwhile, at school, Mark had just finished, and he decided to go to the gym to see how the school's representative in the boxing match was doing. He was a big, muscular guy with spiky, dark brown hair, and right now he was performing combos on a punching bag. Mark had been studying in this school long enough to know who that guy was. It was Aaron Stevens, one of the most athletic students in the school. Aaron Stevens noticed Mark near him and asked "What you lookin' at?"
"Me?" asked Mark. "Nothing, I just left something in the gym, so I went back to get it."
"Ok," Aaron said, "but you better not mess with me. That guy for the other school, Reg, Rich, whatever his name is...he's goin' down. There's a reason why they call me the King."
"Why is that?" Mark said.
"Because...I'm the king, and the king is strong!" Aaron said.
"Ok..." Mark said. "I'm sorry, but I remembered that I didn't leave anything here. Good luck with the boxing match!" Mark then left.
As soon as Mark left, Aaron destroyed the bag with a left hook and said "I don't need no luck. I've got SKILLS." Then he opened his gym bag and put his boxing gloves in. There was another glove already inside the gym bag, and it was gold and metallic. It wasn't a boxing glove, however. It was one of those "Planetman Gloves."

While walking back home, Mark suddenly got attacked by a fireball. He ended up on the ground, covered in dirt. Mark got up and found himself face to face with another Planetman. This Planetman was wearing a glove that was glowing bright red.

Based on the red accents and how aggressive this Planetman's fighting style was, Mark decided to call this one "Planetman Mars." Planetman Mars immediately began attacking Mark by punching him with a series of straight punches. Mark transformed into Planetman Terra and immediately after transforming, he went for a punch of his own on Planetman Mars. However, Mars dodged the attack and grabbed Terra's arm, twisting it to give more pain. Planetman Mars then kicked Planetman Terra on the head, where he collapsed, but Planetman Terra could still fight. Planetman Terra summoned his sword and slashed at Planetman Mars, but Mars blocked it with a wall of flames. Planetman Mars converted this wall of flames into a burning hammer. Then he took the hammer and smashed it in Planetman Terra's face, knocking him out and forcing him to untransform.

Planetman Mars was about to leave, but then Suvroc appeared with some Caidoz soldiers. Suvroc offered Planetman Mars power if he joined the Caidoz army. Planetman Mars refused. Suvroc then realized what he was dealing with. Planetman Mars then realized that Suvroc was evil, so he got the hammer and smashed a quarter of the Caidoz soldiers. Suvroc wasn't going to return to Lord Caidoz empty-handed, so he had no choice but to go for Plan B. Suvroc put on a monocle with a black lens. He then snapped his fingers, and Planetman Mars fainted. Suvroc then raised his hand, causing Planetman Mars to wake up. He snapped his fingers again. Planetman Mars then began acting normally, but he didn't attack Suvroc or the other Caidoz soldiers.

Planetman Mars was now under Caidoz's control.

Planetman Mars left to carry on his normal life, but now brainwashed to serve the Caidoz Army. As for the Caidoz soldiers, they were about to leave, but then someone appeared on a bicycle. He was tracking down Planetman Mars for some reason. Mark woke up and saw the guy confronting the Caidoz soldiers. His vision was blurry, as he was just waking up, but he could still figure out what everyone looked like. The guy was holding something with a teal glow.
"You there!" Mark said to the guy. "Don't fight them, it's too dangerous!"
"Don't worry about me," the guy said. "I've got superpowers, which makes me a superhero! And superheroes are the ones who fight bad guys!"
Mark's vision became better. He recognized the guy. It was Nathaniel Johnston, one of Mark's friends in the literature club at their old school, until the Great Separation. Nathaniel didn't recognize Mark until now.
"Wait a minute..." Nathaniel said. "Mark, is that you! Awesome! That means I get to show you my new superpowers!"

Nathaniel then faced the Caidoz Soldiers. That was when Mark focused on Nathaniel's arm. Nathaniel was wearing a glove. He began to transform into a Planetman.

Mark decided to call this one "Planetman Mercury" because of how fast he was. Planetman Mercury ran towards the Caidoz soldiers and attacked them. The Caidoz soldiers tried to shoot at him, but he ran so fast that the Caidoz soldiers ended up shooting each other. Some Caidoz soldiers survived and began charging at Planetman Mercury. Planetman Mercury then summoned an axe. He spun the axe around and sliced most of the Caidoz soldiers. All the Caidoz soldiers were now defeated.

Nathaniel and Mark decided to hang out after defeating the Caidoz soldiers. Mark talked about how the Caidoz soldiers were looking for the other Planetmen, and they already found Planetman Mars. There was also going to be a boxing match at the school that neighboured Mark's school, and one of the meteors with a Planet Glove landed near the school. Nathaniel agreed to help Mark find that glove before the Caidoz army did.
