First of all! This story is partly inspired by my cousin WhyDidIDoThis056 because she had the idea for people with different colored eyes and stuff. Follow her :)
Stormy slammed her locker door shut and turned to her friend Melody. They both had stunning purple eyes and purple hair, and were considered pretty by the other students. "Let's go to lunch," Melody said in a smooth voice. Then the two walked down the hall to the cafeteria. They got their lunch and sat down at their usual table with Skye, a girl with unusually dark blue eyes and light blue hair. She smiled when she saw Melody and Stormy sit down. "How were your morning classes?" Skye asked while eating a slice of pizza. "Boring. We had to listen for hours about using our powers for good when we get them. It's not like we don't know that already," Stormy said. "Oh," Skye replied. She had already got her powers last month, so all her classes were about how to use them. Her eye powers were that she could make them see over a mile away from where she was. She was the one of the only few in the school who had received her powers. Still, she didn't brag about it, so people loved to be around her. "You're so lucky, Skye," Melody said. "I have no idea when I'll get mine," It had been discovered that you would receive your powers between the ages of 13 and 17. Then Stormy cast a quick look at Raven, who was sitting at a table all by herself. Raven's eyes were all black, and there was barely any white in them. She was 13 and hadn't received her powers. No one talked to her for a reason Stormy couldn't figure out. But since everyone steered clear of Raven, Stormy did not want to be seen taking to her. The great thing about their school is that after lunch, they had recess! They were also allowed to use their powers for fun, as long as it wasn't dangerous. Stormy, Melody, and Skye ran outside and met up with another one of their friends, Jade. Jade had the most beautiful green eyes in the whole school and wavy green hair. She had not received her eye powers yet. "Come on guys, let's go on the swings," she said. The four took the swings and watched as everyone ran around and while Flame, a girl with bright red eyes, burned a small pebble with lasers from her eyes. Melody, Stormy, and Jade silently gushed with envy and wished they had their own powers too. After about half an hour of swinging and talking, they went back inside for their last three classes of the day. Suddenly, a girl named Amber blocked their way. Each of Amber's eyes were two colors, and she had dyed her hair rainbow. Just because of this, she acted like she owned the place. "Get out of my way, one colored losers," she said, shoving Skye to the ground. "HEY!" Stormy said while Melody and Jade helped Skye up. "Excuse me?!" Amber said, getting in Stormy's face. "N-nothing," Stormy stuttered, realizing that Amber could easily knock her out. "That's what I thought," Amber snickered, shoving Stormy down forcefully and moving on to her class. "That was a close one," Jade said as she helped Stormy up. "Yeah," Stormy said glumly, eying a bruise on her leg. "Come on. We need to get to our gym class," Melody said, taking Stormy by the hand. They waved to Jade and Skye quickly and got into the gym room right as the bell rang. Coach Amethyst or Coach Amy for short, was the gym teacher. She had purple eyes and purple hair too, and also happened to be Stormy and Melody's favorite teacher. Her eye powers were that she could do lots of exercises without any effort at all using her eyes, such as riding a bike without any hands on the handlebars. "Good afternoon class! Today we are going to be riding hover boards," Coach Amy said. "Yess!!" Everyone whispered underneath their breath. "Hold on. Does everyone know how to ride one?" Coach Amy asked. "I-I-I don't," A small voice squeaked from the back of the room. It was Raven! Stormy hadn't realized she was in this class. She felt bad as everyone snickered because she was the only one who couldn't ride a hoverboard. "That's okay, um, what's your name again?" Coach Amy asked. "r-r-Raven," she stuttered. "Okay Raven, come up here and I'll teach you." Coach Amy said, and then she said "Everyone else, you may find a partner and start taking turns riding around the gym. Make sure to get a helmet," Coach Amy called after everyone who was running to the gym wall to get the best boards. Stormy and Melody grabbed a high power one with three different speeds. They grinned and got helmets. As Melody took off first around the gym on the hover board, Stormy wondered. Is that the reason why no one talks to Thunder? Because she stutters? She looked over at Coach Amy trying to help Thunder balance on her board, but she kept on falling off. Stormy felt bad, but there was nothing she could do. Soon it was her turn and she was happily gliding around the gym. She was going so fast she didn't realize when she almost smacked into a pole! "Hey-hey-watch out!" A quiet voice called. Stormy swerved at the last second and realized it was Raven who had warned her! She cast a grateful glance at Ravens' way and looped around again more carefully this time. She switched with Melody and watched Raven wobble around on a hover board. Stormy smiled and watched her until it was time to go. Stormy and Melody walked to their last class of the day, Music. The music teacher, Miss Rose, has beautiful red eyes and flowing, wavy red hair that made her look like Ariel. Her eye powers were she could make music instruments play themselves with her eyes. Everyone thought it was so cool. They spent the rest of the day playing a new rhythm on the xylophone, (which Miss Rose demonstrated with her eyes) and then it was finally time to go home. Melody and Stormy were next door neighbors, so they normally walked home together, even though it was kind of a long walk. They grabbed their backpacks from their lockers and walked out of the gigantic doors. They were soon happily chatting about the day as they walked. Stormy whispered, "So, what do you think about Raven?" "Raven? She's dumb. She stutters and never talks to anyone," Melody said instantly. Stormy was a little drawn aback by Melody's response. Not wanting to argue, she said, "Yeah." But Melody wasn't done yet. "I mean, she doesn't even try to do stuff that she could earn her powers from. Just because she stutters doesn't mean she can't participate. And she always wears black to try to blend in, but it just has an opposite effect on her," she said, motioning to her colorful outfit. Stormy sighed to herself. "Yeah. Anyway, what do you want to do this Friday night?" Stormy said, changing the subject. Melody's eyes lit up. "SLEEPOVER!" She squealed before hugging Stormy goodbye and running into her house. Stormy shook her head, grinned, and went inside.
