When Raven woke up her body still hurt a little, but she felt much better. Since she was already dressed she didn't need to do anything really except eat breakfast. She still heard snores coming from her dad's room and decided to take a risk. She tiptoed downstairs and into the kitchen. She opened one of the cupboards and took out a pack of cinnamon bagels. She took out one and put it in the toaster, anxiously waiting for it to pop. Once it did she quickly spread some butter on it and took a bite. Mmmmmm. It was warm, gooey, and delicious. She eyed the timer over the oven and saw that it was already 8:03. School starts in 12 minutes! Raven quickly put the bagels and butter away, grabbed her breakfast, and ran out the door. She made it to school just as the first bell rang and relaxed. Her first class of the day, Eye Magic History, didn't have Stormy in it, but Melody was in it. Maybe she could make another friend! Before class started Raven approached Melody's desk. "Hi m-m-m-Melody! I'm r-r-r-Raven," Raven said friendlily. "Hi," Melody said grumpily. "I-I-I really like your h-hair and e-eyes." Melody perked up a little. "Thanks!" "S-so, I really d-don't want to s-steal S-Stormy from you. C-can we all s-sit together at l-lunch?" Raven asked. "Sure!" Melody said, and Raven grinned. Soon lunch came, and the three of them sat together, plus Jade and Skye. They chatted happily and no one was rude to each other. The fight between Melody and Stormy was forgotten. But then, the Rainbows approached their table. "Well well well. The biggest loser in the school actually made some friends!" Ruby snickered. "Go away, Ruby," Melody growled, her hands balling into fists. "Go away? That's all you have? You should have paid more attention in your comeback class. Oh wait, you don't take one!" Violet said before bursting into fits of laughter. "Y-you don't either. T-there isn't one at this s-school," Raven said cooly. Violet's eyes narrowed into slits. "Listen, loser, stay out of our way. Or you'll be sorry," She said before snatching Raven's cookie. Raven sighed as they walked off, but the others high fived her. "Girl, that comeback was fire!" Jade laughed. "Huh?" Raven hadn't exactly meant for it to be a comeback. But then she just giggled with everyone else, glad she finally had friends.
When Raven got home her dad was getting in his car to leave. "I'm going to the club. Stay out of trouble," he called. "Yes sir," Raven said before quickly heading inside. She was home alone! But she knew there were cameras around the house where her dad could look at the footage on his phone, so she didn't dare trying anything. She headed to her room and started reading her book Fish in a Tree. She loved it because it was about a unique girl who had learning problems but still made friends and outsmarted a mean girl. She read for hours until it was dinner time. She was starving, and the only food she could find downstairs was some cold pizza in the freezer. It was a little stale, but Raven gobbled it down like she had never eaten before in her life. Soon it was 9 o clock. Raven took a quick shower, got in her pajamas, and climbed into bed, falling fast asleep instantly.
