Nightfall

The sun goes down, darkness fills the sky.
The crickets start to wake and sing their lullabye.
Light begins to fade and darker hues appear,
Stars begin to dance, the moon speaks loud and clear.

Cold air blankets the trees,
As the fireflies ride the breeze.
Peasants find their beds,
As Nightingales fly over-head.

The daytime songs are now at a rest,
The melody of the night now welcomes their guests.
The restlessness of life now cradled in her arms,
As all the movements seize and fall for luna's charms.

The world sleeps soundly wrapped in a cloack of darkness,
Safe and secure protected by night's kindness.
The moon keeps her watchful eye lighting up the sky,
Waiting 'til the glowing sun say's hi.
