Howluna is a popular Pokemon among experienced trainers in the Austra region. They are highly connected to the moon and are often featured in legends alongside Lunala, even though the two Pokemon originate from different regions. However, despite their easy temperament and loving nature, they are not recommended for novice trainers due to their lifestyle. As they are nocturnal and forcing them into a diurnal lifestyle can actually hurt them, only trainers who are adaptable and experienced should actually make the attempt. Interestingly, Howluna are often found on Dark-type teams because those trainers tend to already be awake for much of the night with their dark Pokemon.
