Ever since Dorhum became the ruler of hell... there were changes in everything. For starters, Rikana was now called Queen of Hell and their children, princess and prince accordingly. Another think was that every demon was now under their command and they had an incredible war with the magicians, one which many magic wielders ended up dead, including Rikana's parents who attempted to kill their own daughter and grandchildren. It was thanks to Agiel that they were stopped before Rikana was found dead on her bed.
- I can't believe they would go so far as to kill me. Rikana whispered as Dorhum embraced her with one of his wings. He looked at her stomach and smiled.
- Have you decided on a name? He asked and she blinked a few times before she understood what he meant.
- Oh, you mean our son... well, I was thinking.... Archie.
- That's the name of your father. Dorhum replied and he didn't seem happy about it.
- I know it's just... I want to have something from them, even if it's just a name.
- I will agree under one condition. He said and she looked at him surprised, never before had he placed a condition that went against her wishes.
- What is it?
- When he's finally born, I want you to rethink the name and if you decide that it's indeed suitable for our son... then I'll back down.
- Why wouldn't it be suitable?
- Because we're talking about the man who didn't hesitate to attempt to kill his own daughter.
- I understand but... in comparison to my mother... he was always a bit better. And we're talking about MY family, one of the most messed up families ever.
- I do understand that but that doesn't give him any more rights in this than her.
- But-
- Rikana, I want you to be happy... why not search for a name of a person that was closer to you than them. A cousin, a brother... I'm sure there had to be someone who understood you more.
- I... did have two brothers... twins to be exact... they're both dead now though...
- Oh, is that so?
- I really don't want to remember this.
- Why?
- Because.... I'm the reason they died. She confessed and his eyes widen.
- How... I mean...
- An opposing group of our family discovered me and my brothers when we went out during the night to practise magic. They told me to run... their bodies were found the following morning.
- So your family can go really that far? Even to children of the same blood?
- In their eyes we're not children, we're threats... enemies that need to be destroyed... before we're taught how destroy them. She replied and Dorhum took her in a warm embrace. This was the first time she ever spoke that much of her family... and the things she was saying weren't what someone would normally expect to hear about their family.
- How can they be so cruel? How did this even start anyway?
- The two opposing groups in my family have one basic difference. The one that killed my brothers believed that the best way to gain power was to steal it from younger witched and wizards since their magic was raw and they could use it to boost their own power, the side my family supported believed that the best way to achieve victory was to create alliances through marriage with other powerfull magicians and have them share their secrets. However this whole power struggle ended up creating conflicts and eventually brother killed brother over possesion or ancient artifacts.... they soon began suspecting every single member of the family for schemes that would lead to their deaths and defeat. That's slowly teared my family apart.
- Ow, that's one heck of a family teamwork...
- I know... and the worst part is... that we're taught how to kill without feeling bad ever since we're out of diapers. She said and he raised an eyebrow.
- How can they do that?
- The opposing group uses a spell on their babies, one that makes them loose all of their emotions. Once this is done there's no going back, the spell cannot be reversed by human powers and making a contract with a demon is risky. Therefore they have obedient puppets that obey commands without caring... or without even knowing that what they do is bad.
- And your brothers?
- David and Dorian. These two protected me with their own lives and told me to stay true to myself, even if it meant getting into trouble. She replied and Dorhum kissed her forehead.
- I believe one of their names should be given to the baby, they deserve to live on more than anyone in the entire family.
- Then how about.... Dorian? You certainly want me to have another one after this one is out so I guess that David gets the next boy.
- Deal. He said and the two of them went to the bedroom where Rikana fell asleep peacefully. Dorhum stayed up and watched over her as she rested. He was never going to allow to anyone who harmed her to live on. And he planned to destroy even her own siblings to achieve that, according to the information he received... a demon could undo the spell, therefor he just needed to find the person who killed Rikana's brothers.
- They can't hide from me even if they made a contract with a demon. Dorhum said and left silently as he asked from all the demons in his house to come and meet him.
- So what could be so important that you summoned us here at three o'clock? Dragona asked sleepily and he shrugged.
- I was babysitting your daughter... speak up. Agiel said and that caused Dragona to laugh.
- I never knew you were into that.
- This young lady has a problem with her sleep due to her grandfather, baby or not she can feel when she's in danger and when she was with Satan she was in danger and she was alone. You can't expect her to be okay so soon. Agiel said and Dragona smirked.
- Just admit that you like putting her to sleep. She said and Beatrice chuckled.
- Can we leave this for later? Dorhum said and the three demons returned their attention to him.
- What is it that you want?
- I want you to find every member of the Eufelge clan and bring them to me... so that I may rip them apart. And finally end this nonsense.
