'Rafael, what do you have next?' I asked, turning my head towards him. 'I have maths. I think you do too' He replied,not taking his arm from my shoulders. I felt like my stomach was doing backflips. I couldn't say anything to him incase it was something that could change our friendship forever!!
When we arrived at maths, he finally took his arm from across my shoulders and opened his bag. 'Here you go Lola. I was going to give this to my girlfriend but we aren't together anymore.I thought I would give this to a special friend and that's you!' Rafael said, handing me a silver garnet-heart pendant. 'Thank you! It's gorgeous and it's my birthstone too!' I cried. 'Here I will help you put it on!' Rafael said,putting down his bag. When he clipped it around my neck, I noticed a blond haired snotty girl stop behind Rafael. 'RAFAEL WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?? YOUR MENT TO BE MY BOYFRIEND!!' She shouted, louder than my mum shouts when she's angry. 'Charlotte we broke up ages ago anyway me and Lola are...just friends!' Rafael shouted back,softer than her. 'Ugh!' She stumbled off in her pink bow heels,nearly falling over with every step.
Our maths lesson went really slow but me and Rafael just had a chat together. 'Can I ask you something?' I asked him, curiously. 'Yeah sure what's up?' He replied, writing down some algebra in his book. 'Why...did you pause after you said 'we are'??' 'Ummm...hah well that's just something I do when I'm around Charlotte because I hate her and she has really sharp nails! She scratched my neck !yesterday!' Rafael said,revealing a scratch mark on his neck and shoulder. Oh my god that's horrible!' I said, touching the wounds. 'Im fine now just back then...we...had..just' he trembled off as he got caught in the crystal blue of my eyes. He leant towards me and tilted his head to the right. I leant my head to the left and we kissed. It felt like fireworks had just exploded inside my stomach and I had just been stabbed through my chest (in a good way)
Our teacher, Mr Walker came over with worksheets and noticed us kissing. 'Oi! You have plenty of time for that after my lesson but please stop that Lola and Rafael!' He said, tapping my arm. I jumped and nearly head butted Rafael. I let go of his lips and started to laugh after the teacher had gone. 'Oh my god! Isn't Charlotte gonna kill me?' I suddenly said, jumping up out my chair. 'Please sit down Lola and do you work!' Mr Walker said, calmly. 'No she isn't! She won't find out!' Rafael replied,grabbing my arm and beckoning me to sit down. I got on with my work but since I was left-handed and he was right-handed,we kept touching hands every time we got to the end of the page. Every time that happened, i would smile and Rafael would look at me ,smiling himself. Now I definitely knew how I was feeling about him!
