Sabrina's return

Sabrina was always very quiet, but everyone loved her. She was the silent nice girl who wrote and sang her own songs. None of the girls would ever admit it but they were all jealous of her shining golden hair and pale blue eyes.

She preferred chocolate over vanilla, purple over pink and tea over hot cocoa. I know this because we had been best friends since middle school.

I said that we had been friends because two years ago she wet missing, just puff, gone. No one has seen her since then, the police say that she is probably dead now. I believed them up until today.

My name is Katie, I'm eighteen years old and I am a senior in high school.

I was sitting in homeroom when Mr.Bruner walked in. "We have a new student today, her name is Sabrina."

At that moment a girl walked in, she had long silver hair that reaches her waist and golden eyes. she was wearing a crimson shirt with a black jacket and shorts. But what made my breath catch in my throat is that her far looks exactly like Sabrina's, the one that went missing.

"Why don't you go sit next to Katie, she's in the back near the window." Mr.Bruner pointed towards me and I gave a weak wave.

When Sabrina sat down she slipped a piece of paper onto my desk, when I unfolded it there was a note written in red ink;

Hey Katie, it's me Sabrina. I'm not sure if you recognize me but I am still the same girl. Since we don't have time to talk right now how about we walk home together today?

I stole a glance towards her to see a cheeky grin on her face, it really is her! I almost jump out of my seat and tackle Sabrina with a hug, but if I did that the teacher would freak out. So for now I just sit there appreciating that my best friend is alive.
