"So when do you finally plan on bringing that girl in that you've been telling me all about every visit?" Henry Allen asked his son over the prison phone, the glass separating them wearing heavily on his heart.Barry's lips instantly curved up at the mention of you and he blushed slightly, now avoiding eye contact out of embarrassment. He was never good at expressing these feelings out loud, let alone to his father.
"Y/n?" Barry shrugged in response, glancing down the dark corridor where random shouts could be heard echoing down the halls. "Don't know. Haven't exactly figured she'd be eager to come to some place like this. It doesn't really sound like a great date either..." The boy didn't want to sound ashamed of his father, as he knew completely that Henry was innocent, but rather for the awful situation Henry was in as no one else believed in him but his own son.
Henry sighed. Yet another thing in his son's life that he was missing out on, as if he hadn't missed enough already. He nodded at his son's point. This definitely wasn't the place to take a girl you wanted to woo.
"Maybe one day..." Henry said, not only to break the tension but to imply that while this time the answer was no, maybe things would be different one day. Hell, maybe one day he'll be free of this wrongful conviction and be able to spend time with his only remaining family–his son.
"Yeah," Whispered Barry unconvincingly, "maybe..."

"Barry!" Henry was thrilled to see his son already waiting for him on the other side of the glass but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw a girl sitting on his lap, presumably pulling at the strings of her sweater while they waited. They seemed to be chatting quietly amongst themselves or more so Barry was reassuring her as she was visible uncomfortable in this environment. Neither Henry or Barry could blame her for this, after all, it was he first time in this environment.
Barry attention shifted from his girl to his father as soon as he noticed Henry sitting down. Barry slid one hand to your hip, squeezing it comfortingly as he reached for the phone.
Here goes everything...
"Hi dad."
"Hi Bare." Henry was silent following that, he admired the girl with his son, in awe of the bright aura now radiating off Barry when it's normally gloomy when he comes to visit.
"Hi Mr. Allen." You spoke up, leading closer to the phone by Barry's ear.
Barry tilted the phone in hopes that you'd both be able to hear him and vice versa.
"Henry." He said, a huge smile on his face. "Henry is fine."
You nodded, mentally noting the change.
Henry wasn't at all expecting you so he didn't even know where to start with this visit. Barry didn't mention you tagging along with him and he was left unprepared. "It's incredible to meet you, y/n. I'm sorry that they're under these circumstances but I am grateful none the less."
"I'm glad to meet you too, Henry. Barry's very proud to be your son; I've heard so much about you." You reached down to Barry's hand resting on the exposed skin at your hip, slitting your fingers through his to hold his.
Barry let out a quiet sigh as he rested his head on your shoulder. It had been a long day but you two had been planning for this trip all week and Barry would never miss a chance to see his dad, let alone miss one where you could tag along.
