It started back in second grade. Jocelynne Banker was the school's popular girl, but I was prettier than her, so mom would tell me, and so she bullied me. A lot. It lasted all the way up to the 100th day of second grade, you know where you have the big "100th day.. Yay!" day, well I say nay to that.
Anyway, it was a 100th day, and I was in my white dress and navy blue shoes ready for the 'party' in my class. Well, when I walked in, I stepped on a rope, and a big bucket of paint fell on me. BRIGHT ORANGE PAINT!! IN FRONT OF EVERYONE! I'm over it now, but that day was horrible.
I ran out of the classroom sobbing so bad I could barely breathe. That's when Jesse Carter came running after me. "Hey, that was rough. Are you ok?" He said to me after I stopped to ask why he was even following me. I liked him all year, but he was a popular kid, so it was no use.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say through the sobs but trying to remain cool at the same time. "No, you're not. I'll go in there right now and lay her on her ass if you want." We both start laughing, one because he swore and because we both knew it was true. That's how we met, that one special day.
After that, we never left each others sides. Even through the worst.
