Alexis POV

"Hey mom, I'm home! How's Kiana?" I asked as I walked in the front door.

"She behaved like a little angel, she's in her crib right now. I gave her some toys and she's playing in her room." she yelled from the kitchen.

"Okay, thanks. I'm going to go check up on her." I walked into Kiana's room and saw her little blond head peeking from behind the crib. "Hi Kiana, mama's home!" I picked her up from her crib and stroked her blond curls.

"Did you miss me? I missed you." I said as I blew a raspberry in her stomach. She giggled.

"Alexis, dinners ready!" I head my mom's voice from the kitchen.

"Mama will be right back." I placed Kiana back in her crib and her hazel eyes watched me as I left.

"Hi Dad." I gave my dad a kiss on the cheek and took my place on the dining table. "So um.. whats for dinner?"

"Well we are having guest over, the new neighbors." my mom announced "They'll be here any minute."

*doorbell rings*

"I'll get it!" I run to open the door. Hey, I was hungry, so I was trying to hurry up the process.

James POV

"Do we really have to go?" I ask as my mom finished locking the door.

"Yes we do. Nancy came over and asked if we wanted to come over for dinner." she said. Nancy? They had just met and they were already on a first name base. I groaned. The last thing I wanted to do was go meet the neighbors, I just wanted to stay home, and go to sleep "Plus we just got here James, it would be good to meet other people." She rang the doorbell.

"i'll get it!" a voice yells.

"Welcome, i'm Alexis... You?!?" she says as she stares at me. This really is a small world. Who would have thought that she would be my neighbor.

"You two know each other?" a woman said as she walked towards the door. I'm guessing it was her mother because they hard the same warm brown eyes.

"Sadly, yes." Alexis said as she walked away. Tonight was going to be very interesting.

Alexis POV

"Welcome, I'm Alexis... You?!?" I stared mouth-opened to see who was at the door. None other that James Night. What had I done that was so bad, because someone up there really is holding a grudge against me. So now I have to stand him at school, and he lives next to me. Could life get any better?

"You two know each other?" my mom asks as she walks towards the door.

"Sadly, yes." I walk away from the door. James smiles and greets my mom and dad, and he comes to greet me. "No thanks." I move away just as he was about to give me a kiss on the cheek. My mom gave me one of her glares, which I knew that she wanted me to behave.

"Welcome Clarissa! I hope you enjoy the dinner I cooked." my mom smiled as she began placing the plates on the table. I got up the sofa and began serving some drinks. I made James's drink extra special. And who said I wasn't polite. Pshh.. I placed the cups and motioned for James to sit where the special cup was at. He raised an eyebrow, which I guess might be due to the fact that I might have been smiling like an idiot.

"What are you up to?" he asked.

"Me?" I flashed him an innocent smile and went to help my mom set the plates. Everybody sat down and the only seat left was in front James. He raised his cup and took a sip from it and spit it back out. Score! Nothing better than my special lemonade.
