You And I

Part 7

Yani was quiet the whole day while everyone worked til the end of their shift. By 6pm the cafe was empty and only two employees remained, helping clean up and pack up the left overs from todays work. "You can pick some to take home to your family." Yani smiles at the two older ladies, both in their fifties.

"Miss Min? May I ask you something?" Lola asks, sitting at one of the small tables. Yani sits across from her and nods. "Do you agree on aranged marrriage? My daughter is almost 20 and I want her to be happy."

"I agree with it as long as the two parts get along and there isnt a one sided love that grows. If you do plan to marry off your daughter, get to know the family, let the two kids get to know each. Ill tell you this, im arranged to marry someone. We first met about a month and a half ago, we moved in  a week after signing the papers. Ill be honest, he makes me happy. Our wedding is set for november so we have plenty of time to grow close and figure out our future."

"Is he letting you keep your cafes?" She asks shocked.

"Oh yeah. You know that man who has been helping lately?" Yani raises a brow.

"oooh is that him?" Lola grows excited.

Yani smiles and nods. "Yeah. Thats him. He had to leave this morning for work, he travels alot, and I saw him off so thats why I was late. But what Im trying to say is.. If you do arrange something let the two get to know each other first. See how it goes. Dont rush anything."

Lola gets up from her seat and hugs Yani. "Thank you so much."

A knock on the glass doors make both girls jump, both letting out quiet yells. They look over to the doors and see Sue, Lola's daughter walking home from her cram classes. Yani walks over and unlocks the door, letting sue inside. "Long time no see."

"Hello Yani. How are you?" Sue asks.

"Im alright. You?"

"Happier than ever." Sue pulls out a yellow envelope out of her shoulder bag. "I entered a contest and got concert tickets." She jumps with joy.

"Oh. Who's the band?"

"BTS and EXO!"

Yani looks at Sue, shocket. "When is it?"

"At the end of their tour, two months from now." Sue counts the tickets. "Theirs three but only one of my friends is going with me-"

"Ill buy it off you. But you have to pay your mom back the money that helped you enter that contest." Yani points to Lola sitting at the table.

"You like EXO and BTS? Plus I plan to pay my mom back double when I find a job." Sue explains.

"Give me a minute." Yani walks to her office and grabs her wallet and phone. She checks her phone as she walks into the main searing area of the cafe. "Is 250$ ok?" (Im using american currency cuz i still have to learn korean currency)

"Thats about the amount they are anyways so yeah thats fine."

"Well thats all I have in my wallet so thats all I can give you." She pulls the money from her wallet and hands it to Sue, who in return hands the ticket to Yani. She looks over the ticket. "Backstage pass?" Yani smiles.

Sue automatically walks over to her mom and hands her 120$. "Thank you for helping me get into the contest."

"Well I wanted you to win. Youve been studying so hard for the exit exams." Lola smiles.

"Lola you can leave early. Take some food home and Ill finish up here." Yani walks behind the counter and grabs a few togo boxes. "You too Sue."

"What do you do with the extra left over?" Sue asks, taking a box.

"It goes to the homeless shelter a few blocks over." Yani explains.

Sue packs up some treats while Lola grabs her belongings from the employee cubies in the hall way towards Yani's office. After a few minutes Sue and Lola left, leaving Yani by herself. She packs up the left overs, packs them into her vehicle, and grabs everything from her office before locking up the cafe and getting in her car to drive over to the homeless shelter. Yani lets the shelter employees unload the trunk and drives home.

Jhope sits in the window seat on the plane, the last flight of the day. He slept for most of the first two fligts and now wide awake for the third. RapMon keeps looking at his sad friend two seats over. "Youll see her soon Hobi." He states.

"I know Hyung."

"You two seemed to grow closer every time I see you two together." A sleeping Kookie between the two pulls his knees to his chest and turns in his seat, his sleeping face now looking in RM's direction.

"Yeah. She has a weird effect on me." Jhope laughs.

As the next few weeks went on Yani texted Jhope throughout each day, only getting a few replies back since he's so busy.
