"Lani," I felt somebody shaking me, "Get up." I woke up with a crook in my neck. "We're here." Corrine said.

I looked around seeing we were finally in Memphis. "Good, we been in this car too long."

"Bitch, it's only been four hours." She had to come visit her parents and she didn't want to come by herself. The only thing I've been doing lately is working so I didn't mind coming.

She pulled into the hotel and parked. "Why didn't you just stay at your parent's?"

"I wanna go out while we're down here. My mama would bitch about how late we would come in and I don't have time for it."

I got out and got my bags out of the backseat. I waited on her to get hers. She locked her car doors and we walked towards the entrance of the hotel.

Once we got in, she went to check in. I sat down in the lobby. Corrine came over to me with a luggage cart and I put my bags on top of hers.

We got onto an elevator and went up to our room. Once we got up to the room I checked the time, 8:00 AM. It was still too early.

– 2:30 PM

I looked over at Corrine, who was still sleeping. I decided to go ahead and get ready since I took the longest.

I picked some clothes out from my suitcase, along with everything else I needed. I went into the bathroom and turned the shower on.

Once I was out of the shower I got ready. When I was finished I examined myself in the mirror.

I went to wake Corrine up, but to my surprise she was already awake. She was sitting up on her phone. "It took you long enough."

"Whatever, what time are we going to see your parents?" I asked. "I was trying to wait until my mom was done cooking. Probably around six, since she gets off at three."

"Yo greedy ass. Where we going until then?"

"We can go to the mall." she stated before getting up and walking into the bathroom. I waited on her to finish getting ready.

It took her at least an hour. She came out of the bathroom fully dressed and her hair and makeup was did.

"You ready?" she asked as she grabbed her keys and her purse. I nodded my head, "Yeah." I grabbed my purse and my phone following her out of the room.

The mall was a good twenty minutes away. We finally pulled up and she found a parking space. I stepped out of the car. It was hot as hell.

I closed her door and she locked 'em. "I miss Jay." she whined as we entered the mall. "Call his ugly ass." Jay's her boyfriend. They've only been together for six months. I think they're perfect for each other.

"Don't do him." There was a lot of commotion going on in one of the stores. "Come on, lets go be nosey." Corrine took my hand and drug me into the store.

There was a group of four girls. They were taking a picture with Key Glock and one of 'em was crying. "She giving me a headache." She was about to turn back around and leave the store.

"Aye," I heard a deep voice say. It was coming from behind us. I turned back around seeing somebody eyeing me. "Bitch, I think he talking to you." Corrine said.

I looked at him and pointed at myself in confusion. He nodded, "Yeah." Corrine practically dragged me to where he was standing. What would Key Glock want with me?

He had two guys standing beside him. The girls had gotten their pictures and left. I'm pretty short so I stood a couple inches below his chest. He licked his lips and looked down at me, "Whats ya name?" I examined his diamond teeth as he spoke.

"Umm.. Ma'Lani." After I said that one of the dudes whispered something in his ear. I glared at him and he laughed. "What about your friend?"

"It's I have a boyfriend." she mugged him. "I guess that's a no." he turned his head towards his friend and said. I expected him to be a little more arrogant. I don't know why.

"How old are you?" he asked me. "Nineteen."

"You tryna link?"

"Is she trying to fuck? Nope." Corrine stated bluntly, making the two dudes beside him laugh. "If I wanted to fuck, I would've just said it." No you wouldn't. "What's your ig? I would give you my number b-"

"Yeah, I know." I figured he didn't just want to give his number out to some random person. He handed me his phone and he was already on the app. I went to my page and handed him his phone back.

"K, bye now." Corrine waved at them and we walked out of the store. "You so rude." I told her as we made our way to another store.
