Shades of blue

She paints of walls a shade of blue, trying to get rid of every memory of you.

Breaking down the parts of herself that she's known you've touched.

she wanted nothing lingering of you.

she stood in front of her shattered soul, the one you left with her,
the one you promise you'd always hold.

You told her forever, and you would never let her go.
So she paints her walls a shade of blue because that was the one color that didn't remind her of you.

You had emerald green eyes, and a dark brown hair.

Your favorite color is yellow,
and you preferred night over day,
You always compared her smiles to the stars that covered the night skies.

You were the same orange hoodie, and your pillow sheet covers were purple.

But nothing was blue, and blue is what she needed to get over you.
