*Ethan's P.O.V.*

After practice I didn't even bother to change out of my gear. I ran right to my car and sped out of the parking lot, headed home.

Originally, I was going to ditch practice altogether, but my parents were home, so I didn't have to worry.

All that mattered now was that I got home before Veronica came over, which would be soon. Soccer tryouts ended about 30 minutes earlier than our practice, but I saw her go into the school, meaning she went to change.

When I was leaving, her car was still in the lot. She probably took a shower or something.

Before I knew it, I was pulling up in the driveway of my house. Grayson's not going to like what's coming to him, but he deserves it.

I rushed into my house, not even bothering to close the door.

"GRAYSON," I screamed. There was no answer.

I ran up the stairs towards his room and flung the door open, only to see him playing video games.

"YOU FUCKING DICK. HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?" I felt my blood boiling.

"What'd I do?" He simply asked, his eyes glued to the screen. Is he serious right now?

"YOU BROKE OUR PROMISE, GRAY."

"Eth—" I cut him off.

"NO YOU SAID THAT IF THINGS EVER GOT TOO MUCH YOU'D FIND ME IN SCHOOL. YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T GO HOME." At this point, my eyes were glossy.

"Ethan I wasn't going to try to—"

"TO WHAT? TRY TO COMMIT SUICIDE AGAIN? LAST TIME YOU FUCKING LEFT SCHOOL BECAUSE OF BULLYING, I FOUND YOU LAYING ON THE GOD DAMN FLOOR UNCONSCIOUS FROM OVERDOSING. YOU CAN'T BE DOING THESE THINGS, GRAYSON." The more I spoke, the more tears streamed down my face. "I— I can't lose you, Gray. You're all I have to help me through all of this. Without you, I— I just can't do this alone. I need my brother."

At this point, I had collapsed on the floor, tears flowing out of my eyes. I can't lose him. I can't. I looked up at Gray, pain filling his face.

"I'm sorry, Ethan, I won't do it again. I swear I wasn't going to do anything. I just needed some time away from school..." Gray's eyes were glossy, for he  was about to cry too.

"We're in this together. You know we're going to look at apartments in California this weekend. Just hold on until this school year ends and it'll all get better." I got up, hugging my twin brother.

"I'm so ready to leave this school behind," Gray sighed

*Grayson's P.O.V.*

I looked up at Ethan.

"Me too, bro, me too."

I looked back down realizing there was something I didn't want to leave behind. It's the only thing that makes this place less miserable, other than Ethan, of course.
