Okay so I wanted to talk about my mistakes and what I found yesterday. So we found a baby Blue Jay. My mom told me and I did some research and we called a few places. It was memorial day so  lot of places were closed, or didn't open until later. This happened at about 10 a.m. We have a cat too, who is a cold blooded killer. She would've killed the bird and we think she brought him...because he was on her sacrificial alter (a.k.a. where she puts her dead prey, but sacrificial alter sounds cooler)). Also, we don't know if the Blue Jay was a male or female, but I called him Blue and I'm just gonna go with "him". Pretty much the person who called us back didn't trust my mom with calling him a Blue Jay and told us to get a bow and make kinda homey, then put Blue in it. They, also said to feed him cat food mixed with water. Fun fact cat saliva has some sort of germ that harms birds, so we didn't take straight from the cat's bowl. We put Blue up on the highest shelf and put a heat pad under the cardboard box. We then got a call from someone else who trusted my mother's word and said that's what Blue Jay's do. They leave their kid on the ground and wait for it to be able to fly. During this time they will watch the fledgling and feed it, I think. Anyway, we didn't get Blue Jay's in our neighborhood a lot and didn't know this and we have a cold blooded killer of a cat. The advice we got from the second person was to put it away from the house, but not far away from where we think the nest is.  We are also keeping the cat inside for a few days to give Blue some time to learn. That's all and I think I'm almost finished with the next chapter. Here's a picture of Blue, I know it's not the best, but whatever. Have a good day/night my peeps!
