When I woke up I saw I wasn't by myself. Standing right in front of me was the cyclops's one eye.
"Ahhh!" I screamed. He took a few steps back. I tried to scoot back more and that's when I realize I wasn't tied up. I quickly stood up. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm... let... Letting... You... Go... Go."
I could tell he didn't know how to talk very well.
"Why?" I asked gently.
He smiled, or what I assumed to be a smile, and said, "Little sister." He said it so quietly I barely heard him.
"Little what now?" I asked him."Little sister." He said louder and prouder this time. "My daddy Poseidon, too! We fam... fam... We family."
Okay I needed to say something here. I've never heard those words before my life except in movies, my mom loves me. Like a lot. But I've always felt like a sibling would fix the hurt of not knowing my dad for all of those years.
"I'm letting you go." he said suddenly said more sternly that he had talked before."Instead of letting me go will you help me save my friends?" I asked him. "I will need him to get back to Camp. The satyr, too."
He thought for about a second then he decided "Okay, but I need to defeat this beast on my own."
That was the longest sentence he had said in this whole conversation. It was like he had practice it. "Okay deal. Let's go, big brother."
I have to say, those words just fit perfectly into my mouth.
Then we headed back into the cave to save the day, like I always do, of course.
