"Oh my gosh, that hurt." I said.
"Of course it did, Deary. I've been cursed, even as a monster." The drakon said.
"I was not always a monster," she said. "I used to be a beautiful young girl with a beautiful voice, so of course the 'love goddess' hated me." She said, her face full of disgust. "She used her charmspeak to team up with Apollo. The 'queen of beauty' turned me into this ugly creature and Apollo ruined my voice."
I sort of feel bad for her until she said, "So I am going to ruin something and she has work so hard on."
"Really? And what is that?" I dared to ask her."Why, you two, of course!"
She smiled at me as I gave her a confused look.
"Oh dear. You've not figured it out yet? Well, you will soon enough." And with that inspiring note, she spun around and lunged at the air.
Or so I thought.
She landed on something invisible. No! I thought. Sadie! But as I looked more closely at what the dracane was on, I realized that Sadie wasn't that big. I realized it just in time, too. I spun around and Sadie jumped out of her hiding spot and then untied my hands. She handed me a stick and said, "Sorry, it was the best I could find in such short notice.
I was so glad to see she was okay, I gave her a huge hug. She looks flustered. Even though we were in this dangerous situation, I smiled and we started to fight the monster.
