Chapter 7 Surprise

---

The next day.

YiMin was up at sunrise, after washing her face she looked at her brother sleeping. His mouth was slightly open and he sleeping in a ball, I'll give him a little more time, he's a growing kid.

Walking to the window she see the morning scenery. Lively colored butterflies flying around in bundles, small insects singing tones, and a brilliant sun bringing rays of warmth. All this plus this cool morning breeze really put her in a relaxed state of mind.

After getting dressed YiMin begins to take inventory of their supplies. The only furniture was a bed, dresser, small table, and a pit in the corner. The walls, although old, wasn't really dirty which she was thankful for. They had the two full water jugs, tea set, couple of outfits each, and the needle kit from their mother. Nothing two children could survive on, but it was better than nothing. Don't know how YiHan did it after their mother died though.

After taking inventory of everything she realizes how much she would need just to cook a meal. Shaking her head she takes out the enchanted pouch, although she didn't have much she could still make a simple meal with the meat. This pouch has a space the size of a small room of 5ft x 5ft. It's main flaw was how they were easily recognizable and were often stolen.

After pushing her Soul Force into the pouch like Brother Haun taught she was able to see what was inside.

As soon as she did she was shocked and immediately took the items out. The largest item was a large black tube with everything else sitting inside including the deer meat. The tube looked like a heavy duty stone and was carved with designs and polished until it shined, the color was a matte black and was big enough for an adult to sit inside. Using this they would be able to keep up with their hygiene without having to go to the lake daily.

The next things YiMin noticed were the books. She immediately grab them with sparkling eyes, looking at their titles their were 'Surviving Nature', 'Plant dictionary', 'History', '5 Classics', '3 Blooms', 'Introduction to Gilmores', and 'Becoming a cultivator'. Their were 13 books in total. Exited over new books she begins to skim through a few of them.

Glancing through the books the one titled 'Surviving Nature' seemed to be the newest and when she looked inside she realized that it was a journal written by Mo Ye Haun (Brother Haun). The book had all kinds of warnings and maps. The best spots in the forest were also listed, which could really come in handy once the meat runs out and they'll need to hunt again.

The '5 Classics' were the books boys study from ages 7-12, when they reach adulthood. The books teaches them about the moral of man, accounting, calligraphy, literacy, war, tactics, and loyalty to the throne.

The '3 Blooms' were the books taught to girls from age 5-14 when they reach adulthood. These books teaches household moral, accounting, poetry, calligraphy, painting, music, and becoming a wife. Looking through these books YiMin could see how the people in the capital behave and gained an interest in visiting, although she was a country child now she might one day decide to visit the capital so it would be good to study.

Next were a stack of older looking books, upon closer inspection she could sense some kind of energy within them. Brother Haun mentioned these, they were calling Gilmores. They were books that held cultivation manuals that could be used to manipulate your attribute.

Each book was locked with a thick leather flap and you had to drop your blood into the lock to bond them. He even mentioned how their Zhou family only had a C Grade Gilmore, which to them it was good but the people in the capital were more powerful. But why were these here? Brother Haun had told me that Gilmore's were rare and expensive but their were five Gilmore's in my hands now.
