Luke and Leia

Chapter 3

Leia's POV:

It was 2:30, and school was officially over.

Thank God

I decided to just walk to Lost and Found since it was only a few blocks away from my school.
About 10 minutes later, I found myself standing right outside the studio's entrance.

"Well, this is it," I took a deep breath and walked through the doors.

I started to look around to see if anyone was around but the hallway was empty. I walked further and I spotted a sign that showed where the auditions were going to be held. So I followed the arrows and I stopped in front of the entrance. The sign on top of the doors said Java Junction. I peeked inside and I saw some kids already inside warming up. As I walked inside, I noticed that this room was actually a cafe. The walls were covered with blue and green patterns with some couches against them.

I sat down on one of them and decided to also warm up to pass the time. After a few minutes, the room was starting to fill up with kids.

"Wow, so many kids are here to audition. It's going to be tough to get in," I started to panic but I heard something coming from the hallway. Are the auditions starting? I walked toward the door and took a look, but I saw no one coming. I was about to turn back but I heard it again.

"It sounds like someone singing," I walk down the hallway following the beautiful sound to its source.

I peeked around a corner and spotted a girl that looks around my age. I was left dumbfounded by her amazing voice.

"You can come out now," she says nicely once she finishes singing.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..." I walk towards with a slight blush on my cheeks.

"No, no. It's alright," she assures me.
"Anyways, I need an opinion." She looks at me waiting for my answer.

"That was incredible! You are gifted and I think you have a high chance of getting in!" I say excitedly.

"Thank you! I don't know you but just by looking at you I know that you are an excellent singer," she says confidently.

I was taken aback by her unexpected response. "H-how do you know?"

"I can feel it...in here," she points to her heart. I smile at her sweet comment. "Oh and my name is Rachel by the way."

"Hi Rachel, I'm Leia and I have a very good feeling that we are going to be best friends."
"I was just about to say the same thing!" we both laughed.

"All auditioners please make two lines! All auditioners make two lines please!"

"Well that's our cue," Rachel started heading
back to Java Junction and I followed right behind her. All I have to do is kill this performance, and then I'll probably have a chance to get into Lost  & Found. And I'm pretty sure Rachel will too.
