CHAPTER 1

LAURIE EVANS' POV

🎶What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time🎶

I was watching when someone entered my condo "Hey! What are you doing here?" I ask him while giggling. He enters my condo with flowers in his arms and a teddy bear on the other

"Just want to visit you? What else do ya think?" he asks teasingly. Gosh! He's so handsome

"Ohh..ok?"

He gave me flowers and a teddy bear and it has chocolates inside of box it's holding "You know, just here to ask you for a date" he says, smiling

I blushed as he says those words"Uhm sure"

And I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off ---🎶

I woke up and quickly throw my phone somewhere in my room. I got out of the bed and went to the bathroom

Tears streaming down my face as I look at myself through the mirror once I reached the bathroom

That fvckin' alarm clock

I think I should change my alarm ringtone so that I'll completely forget everything....everything about him. I'm so sick of crying everytime I'm getting up due to that ringtone

After preparing myself because I'll go to Anisa's dorm to ask her to go shopping, I made my way downstairs. There my brother was, playing xbox again

"Hey sleepy head! You finally woke up" Lawrence my brother shouts, eyes were still on the video games

I roll my eyes and went into the kitchen to make my breakfast. I bet Lawrence didn't make breakfast and I was right

After making something to eat this morning, I went into the living room to watch Lawrence with his stupid games as I'm eating omelette

"Hey Laurie, dad calls me and reminds us he'll be here tonight so what's your plan?"

"Nothing? It's not like he'll be get mad. I bet he'll understand it though" I answer

"I'll go to Anisa anyway, so gotta go" I say as I make my way into the kitchen to wash the dish and to brush my teeth

As I pass by, Lawrence just rolls his eyes and focus back on the vid game while I went into the garage and hop in the car

I made my way to Anisa's dorm. We're actually friends since junior high. It's our summer vacation now and I wonder why Anisa chose to stay here although she may go and spend her summer vacay with her family. I wouldn't ask her just to respect her own reason

As I enter the dorm, there she is on the bed playing with her phone "Hi Nisa! How was your summer... alone? Have you discover something here in your dorm?" I say humorously

She look at me as if I'm a weird "Stop poking fun with me" she replies cranky

"You know what? Just get up and let's go shopping" and as I say that, she quickly got out of the bed and make her way to the bathroom

"So you're still dreaming of him?" Anisa asks after I told her about my dream last night "Laurie, I think you're still over him" she tells me in serious way

"You think?"

"Yeah"

After eating, we starts walking and exploring the mall. A while has been since our last bonding together so yeah

And that's how we spend our half day together

I went back home at around 6 o'clock in the afternoon. I'm sure my dear father was already here

"Hey my dear daughter" he greets and so I am. We hug and I take a sit on the couch

"Hi dad, how was your trip?" I ask, smiling. If you guys wonder, well, he was starts living in Italy due to business stuffs 2 years ago. He told us it's all for us so he has to focus on his business since our mom left us after he cheated with our dad. And that's why I hate mom so badly. She chose to left us just for her paramour

"Haha I'm fine, Laurie. Anyway, where were you?" he asks

"Just went bonding with my long time friend, dad" I answer genuinely "so dad, how long will you stay here?"

Instead of answering me, he just shrug "Either just a month or 2 months" he finally answers and I just nod

Meanwhile, Lawrence enters the living room with a tray of juices

I just watch him, doing the thing that he never used to "Wow, acting like a diligent huh" I tease

"Oh c'mon, will you shut up!" he groans and rolls his eyes "so dad, would you tell us why you suddenly came back?"

Dad's smiling face fade away as Lawrence asks. He clear his throat "Uhm my dear children, is it strange now I came all of a sudden? I just want to see you 'cause I missed you"

"Oh! Dad says he misses us hahaha" Lawrence squeal and then we all hug with beams on our faces
