You all soon arrived on the helicarrier. Tony and Steve were the first to get off the quinjet and a few agents came and took Loki to the cell that they would be keeping him in. Originally, the cell was made for Bruce. Well, not Bruce exactly, but the Hulk, which is what he turned into when he got angry.

After they left, you got off the quinjet, and Thor walked very close to you. Occasionally, his hand would brush against yours making your heart skip a beat, and a small blush would tint your cheeks. Luckily, Thor didn't notice. But, Natasha, being, well, Natasha, did.

You all met in a room to discuss what the next course of action would be. "Well, first I think it's best to know what we're up against. Thor? What do you know?" Natasha asked. "All I know is that Loki is allied with the Chitauri, a powerful and the most advanced extraterrestrial race, unknown to both Asgard and Midgard," Thor explained.

"So, what do the Chitauri get in return for helping Loki?" you asked. "Once the Chitauri win Midgard for Loki, he has promised them the Tesseract," Thor answered. "Okay, so our main focus should be on finding the tesseract," Tony confirmed.

You all agreed and Natasha went to have a talk with Loki while Tony and Bruce began work. "Would you mind showing me around this ship, Y/N, I am sure there are many great things about it," Thor asked, giving you his most genuine smile. You returned the smile, and despite the fact that you knew you were going to get yourself into trouble by doing this, you agreed. "I would love to, Thor," you told him, making his smile only grow.

You walked out of the room and Thor followed you. You began walking down the hallway, and Thor asked, "So, how long have you been with these people?" "Since you went back to Asgard. I didn't have anywhere to go. They took me in," you responded.

"You did have somewhere to go, Y/N, you could have gone back to Asgard with me," he told you. "Thor," you began, letting out a small sigh, but he cut you off. "I'm just curious as to what made you decide to leave your home, your friends...me, and stay on a planet that you knew nothing of," Thor stated. "It's complicated," you replied. "Well, I have all the time in the world to listen to your reasons," he responded.

"Thor, it doesn't matter," you told him, trying to think of a good excuse that he would believe. "It does matter, Y/N. Saying goodbye to you was one of the hardest things I have had to do, and I just want to know what made you decide to stay. Clearly, you weren't thinking straight," Thor stated.

You were starting to get a bit irritated as you responded, "I was thinking straight, Thor." "No, you were not," he countered. "Yes I was!" you said a bit louder. "Then what made you decide to stay on Midgard?" he asked. "You!" you blurted out unintentionally. Thor looked taken aback as you realized what you had just said. A blush hit your cheeks as you started to walk away, but Thor grabbed you by the arm and pushed you against the wall, pinning you between it, and his body.

You avoided all eye contact with him, but he placed a hand under your chin and forced you to look at him. "What are you talking about?" he asked you. You let out a small sigh and closed your eyes for a moment, trying to figure out what to say.

When you opened your eyes again, his blue eyes were piercing into yours, looking straight into your soul. "Thor, I don't want to say anything that's going to ruin our friendship. You are the oldest and closest friend I have," you said barely above a whisper. "Y/N, you can tell me anything," Thor reassured.

You looked down for a moment before saying, "I fell in love with you, and I knew that you didn't feel the same way, and I was okay with that. But, then I saw you with Jane, and it hurt. I knew that I had to get over you before I went back to Asgard with you. I was just trying to get over my feelings for you."
