Chapter 2: Reconnecting with a friend

For those of you who have watched the anime if you want the "Changeling" episode and/or the "Natsu and the Dragon Egg" episode comment or I will not have them at all. Again if you have any suggestions please comment.

Yuki's Pov

Waking up in my bed I sighed, "Iris do you think they will be home yet?"

"They probably will," Iris said while flying around the room. I let out yet another sighed and I got up and got dressed. "Let's go. Hopefully, today will be a great day."

I walked over to the guildhall with Iris right beside me but that's when I noticed what had happened. "How could someone do this?" I question while tearing up. Laki said "Phantom Lord"

"They did it." I lashed out. I wonder if she is still in Phantom. "Yuki!" Laki said while grabbing my arm crying. At that moment I knew that I had to let it go even though I didn't want to. "Laki, where is everyone else" She pointed down and knew that she meant the basement.

Shortly after we were downstairs I heard footsteps descending down the stairs behind me. It was finally Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Gray, and Erza accompanied by Mirajane. "We've never been on the best terms with those Phantom jerks, but come on." I heard Jet say to Levy and Droy.

"What to teach 'em a lesson?" Droy responded back with. Levy intervened with "Back off, you guys. Don't you think we're in enough trouble already?"

Makarov was sitting while drinking to the point he was actually getting drunk but somehow managed to say "Yo, what's up kids?" when Team Natsu walked in. "Uh, hi," Lucy said, lost as ever. "Sorry, we weren't here sooner" apologized Erza. "Old man!!! This is no time to be drinking!!!" Natsu furiously yelled.

"Oh, you're right." Makarov said, "You people stole an S-Class quest and went without permission."

"Huh?" Lucy and Gray asked in unison.

"You will be punished!!!" Makarov said I'll dole out your punishment!!! Prepare yourselves."

"Master, do you understand the gravity of this situation?" Erza questioned. "The guildhall has been completely destroyed" Natsu snapped back.

"There's no need to get yourselves all worked up. It's not the end of the world or anything." Makarov muttered out "What?" Natsu asked, still angry. Makarov took another long drink then said "It just goes to show you how cowardly those dunderheads in the Phantom Lord guild really are. They struck when no one was here. Is that anything worth bragging about?"

"Nobody was here?" Erza asked.

"It was after everyone had already left for the night" Mira uttered in sorrow.

"I suppose we can be thankful for that, at least no one in our guild was hurt in the attack, " Erza said in relief. I started thinking What would have happened if anyone was here? Would gramps be acting this way? I don't know, I just hope this was the last of it. The next thing I saw was Lucy leaving. "Listen up guys. I know this is hard on everyone but we need to stay together. I believe it'll be safer the more people we have together." Mira told everyone still in the basement of the guildhall.

The sky had set when everyone decided to go off to where they were staying. Most of us just stayed in the girls and boys dorm, all except Team Natsu and Shadow Gear. Sitting on the floor next to Laki's bed. "Hey Laki, do you know if everyone will be safe?"

"I really hope so." She said with sorrow in her eyes.

"Now ladies let's all go to bed and worry about this in the morning." chimed in Mira.

I laid down in bed trying to sleep but kept tossing and turning. In the middle of the night, I woke and decided to go take a walk and sit by the river along with Iris. "Hey, Iris. What do you think of all this."
