The next morning I was woken by a different nurse. She gave me some cereal and then helped me out of the bed. She handed me crutches and took me down to the lobby.
"I figured you would want to check out early," she led me to the front desk and filled out some paperwork. Then she handed me a bottle of pain medicine.
"Every six hours as needed," she handed me the bottle, "for the whiplash. You should be okay in a couple days, they may be sore for weeks. And to get back home we got you another rental car that the airport has brought here. It's another minivan."
She handed me the keys and gave me a card that said it was in lot A. I sat in a chair for a few minutes. To my surprise, the guys came down in wheelchairs. I went up to the nurses.
"So we put them on some pain medicine which should keep them set for another seven hours or so," one of the nurses said. We started walking to the new rental car with the three woozy boys. "They're in wheelchairs because the of how severe their whiplash was."
We walked to the new minivan. This one was navy. They helped me load the boys into the van and put the wheelchair in the trunk. They then walked back to the hospital.
I grabbed the gps and set it back to Dallas airport. I started driving while the guys moaned and laughed stupidly after every once in awhile. Driving with a boot on was extremely hard, but I worked with what I had until we got there. About an hour we got there. I turned to Taylor.
"Babe where's the rover at?" I asked as I drove around the parking lot. All he was laugh wildly.
It took forever to find a black rover with an Indiana license plate, but I finally did.
I went to the trunk and went to Taylor's luggage. I dug for ten minutes and found the keys. I went to the rover and unlocked it. I put the key in the ignition and started the car. Then I went back to the minivan.
I unbuckled Nash and slowly moved him into the wheel chair. I pushed him slowly to the rover. I put him in the back seat and buckled him. Then I opened the trunk and put the wheelchair in it.
I then went back for Cameron and Taylor, and did the same thing. Then I loaded the luggage into the trunk and grabbed the gps. I shut the minivan and we drove out of the airport. I have the keys to the lady who checked us out of the airport, and we left. As I drove I punched in the gps what was programmed as 'Home' for Taylor.
We drove for six hours. We made it to his house. I groaned and stepped out of the car. His mother came running out of the house and near the rover. She had long brunette hair like him.
Before she opened the door to him she walked over to me.
"You saved his life," her eyes started to flood with tears. She hugged me as tight as I think anyone can, "I'm Alice, his mother."
I got their wheelchairs out of the trunk and her and I got the boys out of the car. She walked them inside as I got their stuff out of the trunk.
"Do you want anything?" Alice asked once I got the baggage inside.
"No, I'm fine, if anything they should eat," I pointed to the boys.
She went to go cook as I went over to Taylor. He was still in the wheelchair so I wheeled him to the couch. He was still woozy so I slowly moved him into his couch.
Nash and Cameron had started to come back to their senses, so I went and helped them up. They both grabbed an arm, and we slowly walked to the couch. I let them sit down and went to help Alice.
"Do you need any help?" I asked as she poured some soup into bowls.
"No, I should be okay for now. Why don't you just rest."
