"We're going back to the manor today?" I ask. I must have sounded quite surprised. I'm happy, yet nervous to return back to my home. It makes sense we're going back today, Ciel has finished his case successfully. Vincent and I had always rushed back home as soon as we could when we finished a case. As lovely as the town house is, there really is no place like home.
"That is correct, is that alright with you Y/n?" Ciel answers a bit cautiously.
"It's no problem, I'm quite happy to be able to see the estate," I smile gently. I wonder how it looks now? I wonder how Ciel had it remodeled? The estate may have burnt down, but my memories with Vincent hasn't, so regardless of how it looks, it was still once my old home. Stopping by the town house, we pick up Tanaka and bid Prince Soma and Agni goodbye. The journey from London to the manor is as dreadfully boring as I remember it to be. I'm tempted to ask Ciel about his life up until now but I fear that would bring up a few memories he'd want to avoid and Tanaka is up front with Sebastian so I can't really converse with him. I'm not sure what to talk to Diedrich about, I know it's definite that he took over his families castle by now. And it's quite obvious scarfing down the sandwich plate at parties has caught up to him...
Ciel gazed aimlessly out the small widow, watching as the towns and foliage passes by in a blur. I wonder what's going on in that little head of his? For a thirteen year old, he really seems wiser beyond his years. I can't imagine the horrors he faced up until this point. He became the Guard Dog so young... five years earlier than Vincent. Even back then, I thought fifteen was too young for him to be the queen's Guard Dog. Truthfully, with that job; any age is to young to start... specially since it means your life is shorted by a great deal.
As I continue to watch the passing scenery, I can tell little has changed in the past sixteen years. It's odd seeing the familiar journey home, like I just woke from a terrible nightmare and stepped back into my life. The only thing stopping those thoughts is knowing Vincent isn't by my side.
Looking over to Diedrich a thought crossed my mind.
"Hey Dee," I spoke, getting his attention.
Diedrich looks up from the book he was currently reading. "What is it Y/n?" He responds.
"Who were the other two culprits? Sids made it very apparent that he didn't want me seeing the other two," I question.
"Darren Fint and Sander Jeern," He answers.
Huh, that answers quite a few questions I had... suddenly this makes more sense.
"I think I may know the motive now," I begin to speak.
"What do you mean?" Ciel asks as our conversation grabs his attention.
"Five years before Vincent had become the Guard Dog, Lady Cloudia exposed the Fint and the Jeern Families for their dealings in the drug and illegal arms business. But Jeern would have a special grudge against Vincent and I due to my sister." I explain.
"What of your sister?" Ciel questions.
"Well it's quite complicated," I breathed out.
" Before I was born my parents never put my sisters in arranged marriages. It wasn't until Lady Cloudia and my parents arranged Vincent and I that they were put in their own. My oldest sister Myrinalyn was quite happy with her engagement, but Delarina on the other hand was not. Delarina fell in love with Sander Jeern, she's always hated Vincent and I since we were the reason she was put in an arranged marriage with another man and since the Phantomhive's exposed the Jeern's causing their fall from nobility," I continued.
