The so called "afterlife"

   Alex started walking around the streets with a hoodie to hide his face along with a pare of gloves to hide his hands. Some people looked at him and whispered about him to eachothers ears. He felt like an outcast just walking around, homeless and alone.

After walking and walking all around town, he found a strange object on the floor, it was a weird looking chess piece. He took it like a good luck charm, since it reminded him of his old life, and continued walking. Then, he heard a strange voice in his head saying " Use your gift, kill them all, win your life back". Over and over again, After this repeating itself he though, -This voice... it's telling me... to kill them.. all... I need humans to survive...-. Whatever it was, it was forcing him to kill for his life back, with the game of chess?

He was thinking, how could someone kill using chess?. Lots of thinking untill he felt a sudden urge to play. He found a random girl, who looked like 16, and he challenged her to a game of chess. She was weirded out but she felt something that was telling her to accept, so she agreed and then they started to play. When Alex had an oportunity to win, he ended the game and won. He slowly wispered -Checkmate- under his breath, and took his hood off, revealing his face and feeling a slight feeling of evil. Wen he did, the girl was so scared she started screaming in panic. Then she fell to the ground shaking, like if she was sick, and as this happened, tentacles started to come out of Alex's mouth. The tenantacles wrapped around the girl and started pulling her towards his mouth. The girl started screaming for help but was soon silenced when Alex swallowed her whole. A random couple saw the horrific seen and called the police while Alex was confused but at the same time intrieged. When the police showed up they found the corpses of the couple hanging from two streetlights with their belts and thus the hunt for the murderer begun.
