Assuming you read the first chapter you will be ready to proceed into your first night. During the night you either stay in your house, own mobs or go mining. If you stay in your house well thats boring, owning mobs is fun but mining is probably your best bet.
When you go mining you may want to use torches but you can also see fine. Underground, as expected there is many ores such as copper,iron,silver and gold. If you are lucky you will find some gems such as emerald or amythest. Once you explore more of the cave you will most likely find some wooden chests, inside there might be a magic mirror which will come in handy because it tps you back to spawn.
If you get far enough down you might find hell.
