[Friday after school]
(Phone call)
-Do you want me to go pick you up?
-Yes that would be great. By the way, what are you wearing for the party?
-Casual, why?
-Just to know. So, you coming to pick me up?
-Yeah, be there in an hour or so.
(Couple of hours later)
[Jason's knocking at Ashley's door. Ashley opens the door].
-Guess who decided to show up.
-Hi to you too, bae. You ready?
-Are you ready, handsome?
-Let's go then.
They get into the car and drive to the party.
(At the party)
Jason: okay, I'm gonna get us some drinks.
Ashley: Okay see you in a bit.
(Jason goes to get drinks for Ashley and him)
-He pours club soda to two different cups-
Hannah: Hi stranger!
Jason: Hi Thomson, you came!
Hannah: I said I would, didn't I?
Jason: You did, but I didn't really think you'd come.
Hannah: oh yeah? Why's that?
Jason: we'll just because you don't seem like the kind of girl that goes to parties much...
Hannah: Really? Then what kind of girl do I seem to you?
Jason: Well the kind that keeps to herself though very observant and smart at the same time, maybe also charismatic and funny but just with some specific people, and you don't really show your true amazing self to anyone.
Hannah: Ow, I'm speechless, that's pretty much the story of my life. You really see me that way?
Jason: Well... something like that.
Hannah: I guess I'm not the only one who's observant.
Jason: I guess not.
Hannah: See you later?
Jason: Yeah for sure! Wait where are you going?
Hannah: Don't really know, mingle...
Jason: oh okay, bye then.
Hannah: Bye.
Jason takes the drinks to Ashley, and a few moments later they're dancing, he also has Hannah in his eyesight, who's also dancing.
The hours pass, dancing, talking, drinking, socializing, kids jumping to the pool, others getting naked in a game of truth or dare, or doing other dares...and it's very close to midnight.
Jason joins a little group playing truth or dare with Ashley. And Hannah happens to be there too. They continue playing the game.
It's Tommy Bryson's turn, who's a Jock at school, pretty popular, with a particular reputation.
Someone's voice: So, Tommy truth or dare.
Tommy: like you don't know me, obviously dare.
Someone's voice: Fine, kiss someone in this circle that you haven't kissed before.
Tommy: ok that's gonna be hard. You I have, you too, you as well. I guess it'll have to be you. (He points at Hannah).
He gets close to her and Jason has a strange feeling in his stomach, almost like nauseous. Tommy kisses Hannah, and it takes a while before they separate. But they finally do.
Tommy: That was a fine kiss girl.
Hannah: Whatever, though I can't really disagree.
Tommy: That's what I'm talking about.
Jason: I'm out of here.
Ashley: what? Why?
Jason: Nothing, this game is stupid.
Ashley: Jason...!?
Jason goes to get a drink, this time with alcohol. By the time he finishes his drink everyone's dancing, it's past midnight. He looks to the people dancing and what catches his attention is Tommy all over Hannah, Jason starts getting a little mad, it's not the nauseous feeling anymore, now it's a feeling of anger. Ashley comes in his direction.
Ashley: Come on, let's go dance!
Jason: I don't feel like dancing right now.
Ashley: What? Jay are you mad?
Jason: No I'm not mad! I just don't feel like dancing.
Ashley: don't be silly come on.-Ashley pulls from his arm.
Ashley: Oh my god, you're burning Jason!
Jason: I'm fine.
Ashley: No you're not, you're sick, no wonder you're mad.
Jason: I'm fine just leave me alone!
Ashley: Seriously...? Fine!
Ashley disappears in the crowd, Jason walks toward tommy, who's dancing intimately with Hannah.
Jason: Hey!
Tommy: Get lost Knight!
Jason throws a punch at Tommy, who falls to the ground bleeding.
Hannah: Oh my god! What the hell Jason! Are you okay, Tommy?
Tommy: I'm fine, leave me alone!
Tommy walks away from the dance floor. And Hannah walks away in the opposite direction. Jason follows her. They get outside to the garden, where there's almost no one.
Jason: Wait, please Hannah wait!
Hannah: What the hell was that?!?!
Jason: I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that.
Hannah: Oh you didn't?
Jason: No, I don't know what the hell got into me. I'm sorry, really I...
Jason feels a lightly pain on his stomach, that starts getting worse and worse...
Jason: Ahh...
Hannah: Are you ok?
Jason: No I have to get out of here!
Hannah: Ok, where's your car?
Jason: outside! Ahhh, god..
Hannah and Jason hurry up to the car. Hannah starts driving.
Hannah: where to? Hospital?
Jason: No my house, take me to my parents. Hurry.
Hannah: I'm going as fast as I can.
Jason: Ahhhhh, arghhh. Mmm ahh, auhhh, argghhh.
Hannah: Oh my god! What's happening to you??
Jason: Just take me home, arghh.
Hannah drives as fast as she can and arrives to Jason's house. She rings the bell, and calls for Jason's dad, who comes running and gets Jason out of the car. And with his sister's help, they get him into the house, but not before Hannah sees Jason's eyes changing colour, to a yellowish color, and even though no one sees her, Hannah stays there with a look of astonishment, trying to process what she's just seen. A few moments after she gets in the car and drives away, scared but at the same time curious.
