Her Silence Broken
Marietta was from a broken home, her parents gave up their mate bond, severing their ties to each other. She was cast aside by them both uncaringly and forgotten in the rubble. Both parent separately took off in a rush, so angered at the other.

It happened on her 16th birthday. She left the house to go shift on her own as lately her parents were always bickering and snipping at each other and she was snarled at as well besides being basically ignored on purpose.
They weren't speaking out loud and mind linking but she could tell from their body language and facial expressions that they were angry and fighting.
She woke to the pressing need as her wolf nudged her awake saying they had to go and shift on their own. So she dressed in grubby clothes and slipped out of the house.
From hearing her wolf, she learned on going downstairs that her father locked himself in the office and her mother was upstairs in a spare bedroom.
She slipped out of the house very disturbed regarding them both and their behaviors. From out of the house, she headed to the back woods and found a semi-hidden spot.
From there, she stripped down to nothing and got ready to shift for the first time without help. Down on her knees, she handed complete control over to her wolf.
She cleared her mind of her parents' problems and it eased her wolf as both their minds were now totally focused on shifting. It took a minute or two, which her wolf took the pain as they shifted all at once. A burst of unfamiliar feelings swept over them both, which took her by surprise.
But in the end, they had shifted. Her wolf laughed in their head as she was completely happy at the result. They moved from their little grove of trees and bushes and sniffed the area before starting to run.
They ran alone for the next little while before her unfamiliar scent was noticed and tracked and soon she was joined by others. She nearly stumbled once she realized who was with her.
All too quickly she was herded by them and made to go along with them. In the end she was taken to the pack house. She could tell by the scents only, seeing as she was never once brought there by her parents.
Some with her split away to shift back and dress as she was led over to some bushes. When Alpha Ethan showed up, he pointed and said shift back. There are clothes you can dress in.
Marie obeyed the Alpha as she went through the small opening and soon shifted back. That time she took the pain, hearing from her wolf right after that it was the only time they will feel the pain when shifting as her body was now more familiar to shifting.
She dressed in a pair of long shorts and a shirt which she buttoned up, pulled up the sleeves and walked out. Alpha Ethan grunted and said oh, Marietta, I didn't realize it was you.
She bowed her head as she was taught never to look the pack leader in the eyes hence he would get angry. She said sorry Alpha? He huffed and said no worries, your scent was very unfamiliar.
He took her by the hand and led her inside saying your scent in human form is much different than your wolf. Right now you scent nothing like when you were shifted, it was weird.
Alpha Ethan's son and next Alpha to the pack named Aaron, moved up behind her and started sniffing. Marie sighed and asked what is it Aaron? Aaron grinned and said your stomach is growling.
Marie hummed and asked why are you sniffing me? He said because, your scent changed so much. I can't even scent you've shifted. Alpha Ethan said indeed son, in this form she scents weak, too weak to even shift, like she is totally human. Yet we just ran with her large wolf and know differently.
