I was peacefully sleeping in my head until i woke up and heard something break from downstairs. I quickly ran down to see what it was, I thought i had heard it in the living room but turns out it was from my little brothers room.

When i looked in there he was sitting on the otherside of the bed crying with head in between his knees. I looked over to the window and it looked like the window got busted out.

"Kai why- are you okay?" i said calmly but still a little bit worried.

"T-the w-window j-just shattered and i r-ran o-over to g-get m-my cover b-because i w-was s-scared-" he didn't finish his sentence because he couldn't stop crying. so then i picked my little brother and i went to my parents room. i was about to knock on the door but then my mom had opened it before i could knock.

"Why is your little brother crying Riza?" my mom asked while wiping her tired eyes.

"The window in his room shattered because of the stupid storm, and now he's crying because he's scared." I told her while patting my little brothers back with his head on my shoulder.

"Oh, I'll go clean up the glass but don't go in there until it's all gone. I don't want either of you to get hurt, okay?"

"Ok, also mom"

"yeah?"

"can kai sleep in my room tonight?." I asked because i didn't want him to be alone at night, he's really scared of the dark and for a good reason too.

"No, he's crying so after i pick up some of the glass i'll put him back to sleep"

"please mom, i can read him a bedtime story and he can sleep in my bed with teddy bear so he'll feel better and not be scared". I really wanted my mom to allow it. I wanted to help my parents out, and take care of my baby brother.

"Fine, but makes sure he goes to bed soon. i have work really really early in the morning. and i can't get any rest if he's scared and crying, got it?" she pointed at me and stared playfully and intensely into my eyes.

"Yes mom, i got it" i giggled and took Kai into my room so he could rest.

"Do you want me to read you a bedtime story to make you feel better kai?" he nodded his headed and sat in my lap and i began to read. soon after, we both peacefully fell asleep.

>The next morning>

I woke up to the smell of grits, bacon, and sausage. I quickly woke up my little bro and we both hurriedly ran down screaming at the top of our lungs complaining about who's gonna get there first and get the food first.

"Ha!, i got here first so go get me some chocolate milk for my lunch and an orange juice for breakfast" my brother demanded with his adorable baby voice and face.

"Fine, but at least say please if i'm the one who's doing it. it's disrespectful to not say 'Please'"

"what, your not mom your a kid like me so why do i have to be respectful to you?" my brother said with a sassy sarcastic voice.

"Because I take care of you when mom and dad aren't home, and i make your lunch. so if you want me to continue doing that i need a little respect". I demanded as i stomped my left foot on the tiled ground and arms crossed.

"ok ok fine, Can you pleaseeee get me orange juice for breakfast and choco milk for lunch?" i really wanted to take a pillow and throw it at his face just he'll stop doing aegyo. 'I hope i never get a friend who forces me to do stuff for them with an adorable 'chubby bunny' face' i thought to myself as i headed into the kitchen to get us all something to drink.

suddenly my mom got up and started walking towards the stairs.

"mom where are you going?, you didn't finish eating" I asked with curiosity sitting backward in my chair while my dad and brother continued eating.

"like i said last night, i have work really early today so i have to get dressed and ready to leave soon."

"can you at least stay to eat your grits?" i looked at her with my puppy eyes. my parents and other grownups say that it's hard to resist because i have really big eyes...i find it kind of offensive.

"Riza i have to ge-"

"Pleaseeeee" both me and my brother looked at her making sad faces and puppy eyes. to make it even more irresistible we squished our faces together. I mean, i think I couldn't resist if my kids ever did this.

She sighed, and said "okayy, i'll stay to eat breakfast." "oh, and also before i forget, make sure you tell your dad to clean up the rest of the glass while i'm gone".

My dads head shot up with a 'wait what?!' face, and me my brother laughed and then went into the living room to watch a movie.

>>5 hours later>>

Me and my brother fell asleep after watching 'Lion king'. so we just now woke up, and when i did i couldn't go back to sleep. everytime i wake up i always hear thunder, and when i look outside i always see little clear drops hitting the roof and windows and cars.

My dad was shaving his head in the bathroom while i was on the chair in my parents room by the window and my brother was sitting on the bed playing learning games on his tablet.

"This the fifth time this week that it's rained. i wanna go outside but i can't because it always raining." i really didn't like the rain. matter of fact, i hated it. my day and night plans always got ruined because of the rain, it wasn't fair.

Then my dad said something that also wasn't fair, "I guess it's just a bad week for some other people".
