I was out doing stuff for mine and my husbands and now baby son's home. That's when I received a call, I pulled out my phone knowing Zach was home alone with the baby. Of course it read, 'Daddy Zachary'

"Hello Zach." I said

"Hey um y/nnnn?" He said dragging out my name, which meant he either wanted something or had a problem.

"Liam won't stop crying and it's been like an hour and I don't know what to do." He said kinda scared sounding.

"I'll be home in a few." I told him quickly shoving my phone in my pocket and flying to checkout.

I got home and left everything in the car. I walked in and low and behold I heard Liam's cries. I walked to the nursery where Zach sat trying to calm him down. He had little things for entertainment, a bottle, he was rocking and singing. "Y/n you're home." You could see he was upset by the behavior of the baby, he wanted to be a great dad.

"Yeah I am." He handed me Liam knowing I would help him. I started to pull out my breast to feed him and Zach looked away. "Zach you can look babe." He turned around.

"I didn't want to make you uncomfortable," he said scratching the back of his neck. I just smiled as the baby fell asleep.

We walked to our room and I sat on the bed patting the spot next to me for Zach. "What's wrong babe?" I asked grabbing his hands knowing he was upset.

"Baby I just want to be a good dad and I just feel like the baby doesn't like me the way he likes you, he's always so calm then I get him and all he does is cry." Zach said tears welling up.

I engulfed him in a hug, "Babe, shhhh it's alright he's only a few months old and he will understand the world around him soon enough and I know you're going to be the best dad there is out there." I said pulling away and smiling.

"You think?" He said hopeful. "I know." I smiled pecking him on the lips.
