4 years later...
Ricky and Amy ended things 5 years ago. Things were just too hard. They both wanted different things, and they both had lots of potential with their own things. Ricky stayed in California with John. Amy went off to New York to pursue some dreams of her own. Ben was of course nearby.
Now Amy is a high school teacher just like she planned and always wanted. Ricky is in charge of Boykewich's Butchers. Amy recently moved back to California to be close to her son and family. She showed up at the front door of the place where she once lived a while ago. She knocked on the door. Ricky opened the door "Amy..." She hugged him " hey..." He invited her in " so what are you doing here..?" She smiled " I moved back here!" He smiled " that's amazing!" I smiled " yeah... i always wanted to move back.." He looked at me " so where are you staying?" I looked at him " my parents until I can find a place... won't be staying long though..."
John got home from school. He ran into my arms "Mommy!!!" I kissed him " hi baby!" He hugged me " I missed you mommy! how long are you staying?" I looked into his eyes " how about forever..." He smiled "really!" I smiled " yes honey!"
1 year later...
Ricky planned this whole surprise for Amy. She had no idea. She thought it would just be another date night. Ricky looked at Amy " can I tell you something..." Amy smiled " anything" Ricky looked at her " you know we made our way back to each other somehow... some might say it was fate but I would just say it's perfect timing... 4 years apart and this past year I feel like we really reconnected and I realized we have changed..." Amy smiled and laughed " yeah we have... haven't we." Ricky smiled and stood up " I know more now then I did 4 years ago. I know that we made our way back to each other and that if we could be back together than it must be right..."
He got down onto one knee " I know we are right for each other... after everything we have gone through and what we will go through... Amy will you marry me?"
